East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I only knew her for the yearly slain;
and wept and weep until she comes again

There was a time when morals, values, and ethics were more important to all kinds of creatures. The modern day has seemed to ease humanity and its close relatives into a relatively steep and increasingly so decline where morality has been turned into a rolling stone that arbitrarily gathers moss of those victims who begin to put more value in things with less substance. They enter treachery unbidden, willingly submitting themselves to masters darker than the average human television show. These masters took form of the vampires who ruled hordes of undead, or the witches and warlocks preying on poor children who were not taught that these creatures? They weren't family. They weren't human. How would these supernatural individuals teach children the correct ways of the world? Good Gods in the heavens above, humanity would fall. In the days when Anubis was living her prime, she was educated in the dark ways of the world. The ways that the devil taught humans who were already on their descent; the witches, the warlocks, the vampires, the were-creatures... She knew of these species as a child born into a family that was priming her to become the next Priestess. These Priestesses were in succession of a long line of individuals who believed in the purification of humanity, of aiding the innocent from becoming tangled in a swarm of the fallen.

Anubis had remained seated in a rather stone-like position for far too long. Instead of surveying the entirety of the car of the subway, she merely watched the floor in front of her as if she couldn't turn her head and Medusa herself had frozen her this way. But no, Anubis knew. She could all but smell the vague emissions of power coming from the fae individual who had had the misfortune to end up on the same subway car as the hunter. He was quaking in his own shoes, aware of her presence but his attention was quickly diverted by the presence of yet another hunter. While Anubis could have looked at the presence she felt sliding over her skin that had caused the fae to quake, she simply raised her gaze from the floor to lock onto the target that had drawn the other hunter out of the woodwork.

As the tension radiates from the fae, it becomes clear that he understands this second hunter is the biggest threat. This... this smell in his admission of the truth outwardly brings Anubis to look at what could be a partner and raise her deep, ember gaze to greet that of the brunette her sight is graced with. As if a communication through thin air, the hunter acknowledges Anubis as an ally to which Anubis would like to acquiesce. If there had been much time for thoughtfulness, Anubis would have continued to watch the fae and decide what exactly she might have liked to do to the man if the women had had a secluded area. Dissection? To kindly for a piece of fae scum like him. Offering no words of encouragement, Anubis steps to her feet though they quickly change to feet mirroring the shape and size of the fae. Her replication is immaculate and to every tiny detail; down to the swaths of weapons that the original fae has begun to create, ready to mirror his behavior and actions in every which way. There was no copyright, and it is the surest form of flattery... Or in this case, the surest form of an aid for the two hunters.

The other woman would need absolutely no other cues to act.
