East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She spins quickly, the feline, her predatory reflexes so easily displayed in that single moment as she pivots upon the pavement to face him. Nervous perhaps? Yet they so often where when they had something to hide. Her petty theft however is hardly his concern. He has seen far worse, done far worse than merely rob a middle aged businessman of a watch and a few bills and yet the ease with which she has surely done such a thing is...intriguing. Her very nature is unique, especially for a woman and as such he finds his gaze inclined to rest upon her, tracing each and every line of her slender form before offering her companion much the same treatment- eyes remaining concealed for the most part behind that untamed forelock. Eyes- after all, often show far too much and perhaps for that reason only he remains content to conceal his own. At least for now. The words of the feline bring a momentary simper to his lips, the look dancing delicately upon his features before slipping smoothly once more, a soft, sharp exhalation all he offers by way of amusement as he continues to very near recline against the side of the building- so clearly at ease within the confines of the city, even if the east is outside his own southern territory. There are few willing to oppose him, or so it would seem- the last Were to attempt such a thing barely clinging to whatever scraps of life she could manage. Having suffered the wrath that remains so carefully concealed beneath his often overly calm façade. Control, after all, is something to value and any truly skilled war horse. It had been a shame, truly, that he had so been forced to show his hand in regards to the west side pack and yet for today at least, such thoughts remained distant. The comment from the other equid pulling his thoughts once more. Hmm, a bold one then, lip quirking slightly upward in response.

"I appreciate your vote of confidence, meri."

The final word is spoken within his own tongue, the language of his birth, slipping with that same smooth, easy tone, as cool and frosted as always as he offers the compliment though she is unlikely to perceive it all the same. Dom. Hmm. Her attitude was appealing, her....animal form equally so. It was rare to find anything other then a predator within the city, so many of those traditionally perceived as prey far to spineless to brave the city streets amongst the reigning felines and canines that hunted like humans on safari. They were prey because they allowed themselves to be prey, weak because they consented to be made weak. He has been underestimated before- because of what he is, because they perceive horse and picture a child's riding pony at a fair. Not an animal breed for war, not the Hunters mount he once was and something entirely capable of being as predatory as any big cat or wild dog. Underestimation however, was a ploy by which he had continued to succeed for many years and as such he welcomed their vapid little thoughts. To finally see another equid- of some form- within the city limits was...pleasing.

"Dom it is then. As for which Hunter you are describing â€" they all look that way- depressive creatures they are, truly."

He offers simply, words apathetic, seemingly indifferent and yet seemingly polite all the same. If this Dom had been spending time upon the East side within the cafes then it was more likely then not she was describing Alexander, his own personal little.....companion, although the nature of their relationship remained....undefined for now. That Hunter at least- was no threat, for now. His shoulders roll easily all the same, an offhanded, dismissive shrug at his own words though a momentary smirk is flickered in her direction in acknowledgement of the thread of amusement that exists within his words.

"Frost."

If names are being offered he sees little need to conceal his own moniker. The feline's words see his attention shift once more, a light chuckle humming within his chest, easily slicing apart whatever snark she had attempted to put within her words.

"Frequently- though I rarely ask them to join me for an actual breakfast."

They could eat pastries all they wanted, but sugary foods were filling only on the short term and this morning he finds himself- further inclined perhaps, to assess whether or not either of these women may be worth...pursuing, his demeanour however, is given to shift ever so slightly in the moment that follows. It is Dom he speaks to first.

"It is rare to find another one of my own species within the city, I may have something to offer you, one equine to another. As for you kettlingur, if you're interested I may have a little work for you, something that pays more than...watches and crumpled bills."

One eye simply lifts somewhere beneath that snowy hair, fingers taping smoothly against the brick of the building as he offered them a moment to answer, gesturing loosely to his own more favour café across the street, Alexanders own Inner Sanctum. If they held interest in hearing him out, then so be it- if not, well, it was hardly a loss to himself now was it? Let us see how valuable they may well be to him.
