East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

Normally in the daytime hours the fine establishment Nadya had created was abandoned and locked up tight. Today, however, there was business of new costumes and routines that needed to be addressed. Nadya stood back stage with one of the dancers inspecting the fabric as the fearie plucked each one out of the box for her. "Once we add the feathers to the back of Kerri's skirt and the extra lace over the other bodices they'll look great." A smile spread across the young woman's face, feeling nothing but pride and exhilaration every time an endeavor turned out favorably. Nadya hung the costumes up on an empty rack so she could get started on adding the extra details when she glanced down and saw a pair of chocolate eyes looking back at her. Isabella sat on the floor beneath the rack with a blue and black large feather gripped tightly in one hand and trying to mouth at the silky plumage. "Izzy...that's not for eating." With a soft sigh Nadya crouched down and pried away the feather before picking up her daughter. "How'd you get out hmm?" At eight months old the twins were rapidly progressing and becoming more mobile...Isabella more so than her slightly smaller twin Micah.

Nadya was just about to replace her daughter in the little plastic booster she had escaped from beside Micah when the high pitched ring of the barbell met her ears. "Once you finish setting up the supplies go ahead and start with Kerri's skirt; I'll go take care of whoever that is." She glanced back at the fearie whom nodded in acknowledgement and quickly got back to work. Micah was happily pre-occupied nomming on the stuffed horse toy Frost had gifted them so Nadya let him be. The young mother settled Isabella on her hip and wandered through the door separating backstage from the main floor. The patrons who generally came to the burlesque knew its nightly hours and even those who were new would have seen them closed and walked right back out. So it was curious indeed to have someone calling for service. "Can I help you?" Nadya questioned curiously to the female figure perched at the bar looking far too interested in the bottles behind for Nadya's comfort.

Seeing as it was off hours Nadya was happily wearing her comfort clothes instead of the elaborate clothing she wore as burlesque manager. Dressed in her grey and green molted corset top, dark blue skinny jeans, and black converse shoes surely made Nadya feel improper for meeting someone in her place of business. She didn't like to look anything else than the manager that she was nowadays. "We're not open until 10 tonight." Once more Nadya spoke, pausing a good few yards from the stranger since she didn't know what to expect from them and she currently had a child on her hip.
