East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

TRUST MY RAGE sam

trust my rage
It's the unspoken truth of humanity, that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power, for identity. You were made to be ruled. You will always kneel.

What in the fuck was he doing here?

Drago slams the door to his Camero, jostling the entire piece of junk, and leans back against the door while his swarthy eyes take in the scene. People line up to get in this joint. Burlesque Lounge. What a way to stay strip joint, he thinks with a grunt, pushing away from his car and striding towards the line in the way a predator moves, uncaring of those in his way. Sure of his own power. His dark hair is slicked back and goes good with the tight black t-shirt he has on, paired with dark jeans and deep brown boots. Who the fuck said black couldn't go with brown? Obviously they were nut jobs. A woman glances back at him from her group of friends, her lips turning up in that coy sort of smile that wanton women seemed to give him, attracted by the aura of strength in him. Maybe that or just the bad boy aura and his I-don't-give-a-shit attitude. It wasn't like he was here for a good time anyways, having heard rumors that this place wasn't strictly mortal.

The Council hadn't sent him on this mission, he was doing this for himself, a way to scope out the place and get a feel on what sort of creatures catered inside. Then he could try to make plans - a raid perhaps? The kind that would make them scatter and he could trap one of them, take them back to his house on the outskirts of the city that was more rundown than anything and learn what it would take to break them. To make them his. His personal pets or army, whatever he needed. What would the Council say then? It seemed a waste to kill them, as disgusting as some of them were, when the uses for them were unlimited.

He waits in line, glaring down anyone that seems on the verge of cutting ahead of him (since he clearly didn't care about those behind him), until he reaches the door and shoves some bills into the waiting hands. Into the lions den he goes, the place becoming gradually darker until he enters the open room where women dance in scantily clad costumes. Granted, their dancing is nice and not nearly as erotic as a strip club, he cannot help but think of them in the same terms. Drago moves to the bar, finding a seat with relative ease and seemingly ignoring the rest of the world even as his eyes travel across the crowd for a moment, landing on a few women who seemed to move in a way that is more graceful than any human had a right to. It was possible they were humans but by the tingling in his skin he would bet his damn car they were some sort of Were's.

Then his eyes moved up to the dancers, noting the way one blond-haired woman swayed and moved about. It was.. ethereal. Gorgeous too, he thinks with a sort of grudging respect, and he slips from the bar to move closer to the stage. With each step that tingling intensifies until he is at closest table to the stage, moving in to buy off the few men that already sit there. When a roll of money appears they jump up with grins and thumps on his back and he slides into the seat, gaze focused solely on her while his lips twist up in a rather sardonic smile. He leans back into his seat, arm draped across another, in a completely relaxed and assured manner, waiting to catch her eye and draw her down if he could.
