East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He had done it again, Isolt muses inwardly as she flips the envelope absentmindedly between her slender fingers, a sweet grin blossoming upon her lips for Damon's borderline-obsessive need to orchestrate one grand surprise after another. It was doubtless that her counterpart would deliver whatever grandeur was promised by his invitation as such a thing had always been his custom. He was spontaneous, charismatic and ostentatious in a manner and measure that Isolt could have never been; she much preferred the security of the stage curtain to the spotlight within which Damon seemed forever destined to occupy. These differences between the two night-walkers were marked and many, such divides evident in their respective approaches to the coven. Whereas Damon was a suave salesman, intent upon building their numbers, Isolt much preferred for whatever growth was destined to transpire organically. Should it be only she, Damon, and Chizue she would have been content... placated by the knowledge that they were her family. Now and forevermore.

Slowly do her eyes cast themselves against the mirror before her as the young vampire surveys herself one final time before departing for the party despite her misgivings of such events. The last soiree she had attended had hardly ended in the gaiety that had marked its commencement, and though Red on the Water presented a far more casual atmosphere, there could exist no guarantee that some wayward cretons or Dark Hunters on an espial venture would not find themselves at their doorstep.

Such were the dangers of these undertakings, and it is with this spirit of lingering apprehension that Isolt glides tentatively into the all-too-familiar warmth of the pub. Helpless to the grin that crinkles her nose she takes in the decorations strewn about, swathing the Irish hub in an unearthly and yet irresistably enticing Halloween glow. Timidly does she survey the bustling collection of bodies, quite overcome with the feeling of self-consciousness in the cream-hued garment that clings to the curves of her lithe finger. Isolt had never been one to dress in the wantonly provacative way that had become traditional of women on Halloween, and so the admittedly flattering fit of the gown she wears permits some level of anxiety to permeate her thoughts.

Thankfully, her eyes fall upon a few familiar figures lingering near the bar and the fire-crowned girl makes short work of the distance that separates her from the two non-vampires she recognizes without fault even through their guises. "That's certainly a get-up I'd never thought I'd see you in, Dav," she offers in lighthearted humor, a gentle hand brushing lightly against his shoulder. "And you look lovely, Alexis. Have fun, you two." She moves with understated purpose, perusing the crowd for the man responsible, finding him with little effort reclining just so against the banister of their winding staircase. When his eyes meet hers, she proffers up a marvelous simper... mysterious in the vague lure that it represents, unknowing if his intentions would be to follow her as she moves about the room, attentions divided between Damon and another undeniably familiar patron. A kindly grin accents her features as Isolt draws up alongside her canine friend, auburn locks swaying as she inclines her head towards her fellow. "I'm so glad you decided to come. I get so nervous at these things... he's so much better at this than I am."
