East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

&& make me feel alive again

I wish in these moments that I could pry into his mind the same way I can only start to guess that he's able to see into mine. What is he thinking as he looks at me? What goes through his own mind as he sees what I'm thinking? Is he disgusted? Hopeful? Confused? And then he steps closer and his touch lights a fire inside I didn't even know I had. He draws me in closer and my gasp is met by the softness of his lips, gentle and forgiving as my body reacts in a thousand different ways before giving into instinct and surrendering to his urges.

I wait for the moment he'll feel regret and pull away, proclaim it all a mistake and walk out of my life, probably for good. But the moment goes on and he still holds me tight as if reassuring me that my fears are for naught. Then I recall painfully that he may be able to see and feel what I'm feeling, that I'm basically the open book for him now and with our bodies so close and touching at all kinds of contacts, that perhaps right now his senses are even more heightened to what I'm thinking. It's all so overwhelming and yet I'm too blissful to think about it much further. With the smell of his cologne in my nostrils and the feel of his firm chest against mine, I can forget about the confusions and just give into the most basic of needs, to be wanted.

When he pulls back, my body sighs with disappointment, my eyes slowly opening in wonder to look up into his own as he oves to put my hair behind my ear. I find myself leaning into the gesture, eyes an intense brown as he speaks to me in a gentle tone. I shake my head. "I don't..want you to stop." I say the last part as a breathy whisper, almost ashamed of the honesty in it as I avert my gaze, my cheeks aflame in a whole new way.
