East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

His natural language came so easily to him, even if he hadn't voiced a syllable of that ancient tongue in decades at best. Though the dark hunter had learned many a language, both archaic and modern, within his long existence upon earth, his thoughts still primarily consisted of that ancient tongue he had been born into. It kept greece alive for him, in some fashion or another. When everything else had changed around him, at the very least he still had their language. It didn't matter to him, as those soothing words slipped through his lips, that Frost would be unable to comprehend the lyrics he spoke. In fact, he was quite certain it was better this way, lest Frost find some fault in his words or remembered them enough to tease him from his efforts to calm that fiery equine spirit. It was with particular care and an ease that spoke volumes of growing up upon the spine of an equine that he mounts the far larger beast, careful to ensure his actions didn't spook the blinded beast's right side.

He could feel the tension in the muscles of the equine beneath him though it was unlike the tension of Bucephalus or any other equine that had attempted to substitute his great steed sense. In Frost he could quite nearly sense the unsettled apprehension, as if the beast was just waiting to lunge or strike out. Trust, he knew, was vital in any equine to human relationship - perhaps even more so in a were and hunter contract. He doubted that the pair would go any further tonight, not while the ivory steed remained so taunt at his mere presence. He was contemplating techniques to reduce this rigidity when he felt the shift in the creature beneath him, the beginnings of some supernatural ability alerted his own ingrained instincts, causing Alexander to pause ever so slightly, his head tilting to the side as he felt that brush against his mind. He was familiar with it, that sensation of the space between his head no longer being his own. He had, in his time, met his own fair share of telepaths and budding mind capabilities. He'd learned what it felt like and too had experienced in some manner or another how to keep their abilities at bay, to focus on a singular thought then to allow them the space to freely wander. This, however, this was slightly different but it was gone far before he truly had any great length of time to dwell upon what had occurred. "Interesting." He muttered to himself, his language still preferring that of his birth tongue.

He had hardly had a moment to consider what had occurred before the creature beneath him launched himself into movement. The quick motion caused Alexander to lean forward ever so slightly in a moment of destabilization. His hand reached forward to ball into the steed's ivory main as he adjusted, his gaze immediately shifting backwards in the direction that Frost seemed determined to back pedal to. "Woah woah woah." He spoke firmly, loudly even, in an effort to get across to the mortal bit of the man within the beast that this was certainly not a desired route. A soft sigh left his lips at the thud of the equine's rump against the gated arena. His blue-green eyes shifted to meet that purple hued gaze of the creature that stared back at him. Alexnader slowly uncurled his fingers from Frost's main, instead reaching up to run his hand through his dirty blond locks. "By Arion, you have no idea how to be a horse do you? Did they even bother to teach you anything?" He inquired, a scowl on his lips. A soft grunt left his lips as his gaze momentarily traveled over the ring. "We'll have to start from the beginning then." Alexander spoke after a moment's hesitation. "Forward." The simple word was followed by a far more purposeful nudge of his heel and a click of his tongue. He hoped that for the present moment he could instruct the man portion of his brain and eventually, as time passed, perhaps his equine side might learn the logistics of such body language.
