East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

Sebastian had never done any of these nonsensical 'speed dates'. At least that's what he insisted to the fellow he'd befriended earlier that evening. The man, much to Sebastian's dismay, had some innate chemical-related affinity that made him all but immune to the vampire's pheromone manipulation. And having a finely tuned like in women, the vampire's advances were all but batted off with a flick of a wrist until the were-creature had set it upon himself to at least show Sebastian some fun tonight in the form of.....speed dating. The whole concept seemed entirely ridiculous to the victorian man. How could anyone properly make a judgement of anyone within five minutes? He was used to the month long flirtatious glances, the coy secret meetings, hell he'd even take the drunken one night stands but even so, even they took more than five minutes to successfully seduce. It wasn't beyond his capabilities, surely, though he was hardly thrilled with the position he saw himself in. His newfound friend elbowed him from his forlorn thoughts, giving him an all too eager fist pump as if to assure him that he could totally 'score' tonight. The vampire had to stop himself from rolling his eyes as a name tag was slapped on his chest.

He listened in patient silence as the woman clasped her hands in front of all too eager bachelor's, his crystalline gaze surveying the men just as much as he might the women they were soon to be introduced with. The rules were all too simple, they were to somehow impress the females with witty one liners and suave speeches of what they did in life in order to gain the possible approval to warrant their contact information at the end of the night. It seemed futile really, assuming the men were actually searching for love and a connection of some sort. For Sebastian, it was all about tonight and in that feat he was certain that five minutes would be enough to pull the whole room under his sway if he so choose....with the exception of his were companion. With a small groan the Englishman was dragged into the room by his friend, allowing the man to position him to the table next to where he wanted to be - as if following behind his 'friend' would somehow provide his friend with a better chance of odds. At first, Sebastian hadn't complained, until he saw exactly who he was to be paired with.

He could tell what she was the moment the bell rang and with a degree of warranted caution, the vampire approached the woman, pulling out the chair across from her. His crystalline gaze remained entirely steadfast upon her as he settled in his designated seat. He'd never attempted to woe a Hunter before. It somehow seemed against his better judgement - until now? The scent of weed on her clothes was all too apparent for his hyperactive senses, his nose twitching ever so slightly. "Let's cull that blood thirst for a few minutes, shall we?" He commented, his accented baritone voice surprisingly chipper despite the death he was attempting to avoid. "I never thought I'd find a Hunter here. Looking for a steady boyfriend or just someone to warm your bed tonight?" He inquired, his head tilting to the side ever so slightly. Usually, in a situation like this, his affinity already would have sunk it's claws in her, making her want him. This time, however, he was entirely hesitant. After all - when life was on the line, it was best to gamble only when he knew all the cards in his hand.
