North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

The facade that Frost put up for the world was entirely different than the true man who was present when with his pack. He was a caring and protective leader who guided without judgement. A small smile crept on her features watching him bring to life the menu which had frustrated their packmate. Those small things he did may seem insignificant to an outsider but they meant the world to another who struggled to make sense of the human world sometimes. Those little things he did made Nadya love Frost even more.

Malia seemed amazed and content with the menu before falling in about the Burlesque. "I'll give the new owner a call then and see what I can arrange. We'll make it a girls night out." Nadya was more than happy to go spend a night out with her packmate. Malia had a spitfire kind of energy that could be contagious so who knew what the girls could get up to on their own. Nadya's smile dissolved when the unfortunate night that began the end of everything was retold. She had been away seeing her children at her parents' place when it had all happened. As the healer she should have been called and would have returned to heal Raven. Instead the rift had only been wedged wider for her return to try and make sense of things was only met with lashings from her brother. How easily he cared for others except his own blood. How easily he turned his back on her for a second time.

It did no good for Henry to tell her to calm down either. In the history of mankind, telling a woman to calm down was exactly the wrong thing to do. "Whether you decide to believe it isn't the point, or even to offer input, Henry. The point is to know what happened so you understand why the packs are as they are. Malia is the only one who mingles between the two because she knew everyone before joining Frost. And that ability is the only reason you're allowed here." Did he truly think that they would openly invite someone to be closer to their packmate if he meant her harm? Frost meeting Henry seemed to be something Malia wanted and was honestly needed to ensure he wasn't ill intended. Malia was so trusting that it was the only thing Nadya worried about with her. There would be hell to pay for the person who ever harmed her packmate.

Nadya's attention only cooled when the owner returned to take their orders. Frost took that moment to comment about his meeting with her brother. After so long apart she hardly ever thought of him. It had taken long enough for her heart to not sting talking about him. It had steeled over and found her happy family with Frost. That was all that mattered to her now. Whatever had transpired between Frost and her brother hardly mattered to her so long as the result he said of a cease fire was true. She shrugged slightly, returning her attention across the table. "Even if you don't work there you should get to know Jackal. He may try to see how many shots you can hold down and teach you how to cheat at poker, but he's a good friend to have." She remembered her time at the Ark helping Jackal gather bets for the ring and even drowning out her sorrow at being away from her children with him at her side.
