My attention is only for the creature standing before me with his back to me. I cannot think about anything else, see anything else. Even as life continues around me, as weres and hunters alike move to the dance floor, something I have a strong penchant for, I cannot remove my sparkling blue eyes from the strong musculature of my maker. I know its him. I can smell his thick cologne. I can feel his power, his presence, his love for me. I know that has not wavered. I knew that when he left and made himself hidden to me. It was not because his feelings for me had changed. He had his own reasons and he didn't have to share them with me. He always had his own whims and fancies. I usually just played along but this time he wanted to go solo.

I wonder if he meant for us to meet again here, if this is what he planned all along. I can't explain how it feels to be in his presence again. It's like coming home after a long trip, like being whole after so long feeling broken. I can function without him but I function so much better with him. I know that hunters are all around us, that they could decide we're too powerful to allow but they would have to move heaven and hell alike to take both of us out when we're together. Taro by himself is something to be reckoned with but both of us? I don't think anyone stands a chance.

He is shaking hands with a much younger vampire, one I assume is pretty full of himself just judging by the crooked smirk on his face. It's easy to pick out in the younger vamps. They think they're invincible. They have no idea how easy it is to find the true death, not until the stake is in their chest. I know the moment he senses me and when he breathes my name, I feel like my world is complete again. I never thought I'd hear that voice say my name ever again. His hand reaches out to my shoulder and I shudder at his touch, a sense of pleasure rippling through my powerful frame. When I look up at his angelic features, he's smiling. He speaks to me, telling me he's here, telling me that we'll talk soon. I nod in instant agreement.

"Of course, sire."

I dip my head in respect. I would kiss the ground at his feet if he asked me to. Of course, Taro's not like that. When he turns back to the group, I snap my head up, standing to my feet. I'm a little shaky at first but recovering fast, standing beside him now as a support beam, an immovable one. I note the stance of the black haired were as he stands between his party and Taro. I scowl, my brows furrowing. Taro is not threatening. If he was a threat, they would ahve known it a long time ago. I don't understand his question etiher though I do know of the club. He must be talking about Syn, the club that burnt down. I remember seeing the old sign. I only managed to go once before it burnt to the ground.

I glance at Taro as he speaks. I can see he's confused. I lean toward him a little, a soft whisper for him to hear but the others can hear too.

"Syn was a club here that burnt to the ground. Vampires owned the place."

That's about all I know. I note that he stands protectively between the were and I. While I enjoy this paternal part of him, he knows that I would not hesitate to kill anyone who dared threaten him. He tells them that he will leave if he's making them uncomfortable and I look at him with a puzzled scowl. Why should he leave to suit them? This is a public place and he is allowed to be here. If they don't like it, they can leave. My brows furrow as I look at the were. He should stand down.
