i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

"It's one thing to be confident and another to have no sense of decency."

In her eyes there was no correlation to being self-confident and the types of clothes one wears. If that was the case then Tobias would be roaming around the streets completely naked. Thankfully he had some understand that clothes were necessary when it came to roaming the streets in his human skin. Relationship were a highly coveted thing for the battered woman. Throughout most of her life the relationships she had were absolutely damaging to her. It was only when she came to this city did she start growing positive and stronger relationships with those around her. For a girl that was misused and mistreated for so long, one would think loyalty and trust were things she could never create. However, there were many people here that she was able to bond with and create fevered loyalty to, but Nadya was not one of them. It is difficult to do such a thing when the fledglings of what could have been seemed to have fluttered away.

Quietly she stood there watching as the faerie placed a shirt up against her, puzzled she looked down tilting her head to the side, slowly trying to understand. Fitted and tailored did not necessarily mean tight. Shopping, she has decided, is absolutely confusing. It was when Sam approached a bit too closer to her comfort and touched her did she flinch and draw back. It was difficult for her to accept that a touch does not always have to be bad. It could be good. Tobias she knows his touches are good, she could be safe, he had never harmed her before. Although she doubted Sam would inflict harm on her, that didn't mean there was still a chance, the trust between them was growing, but she wasn't quite there yet. As Sam apologized she simply gave the girl a shrug watching as she returned the shirt to the rack. When she asked her question about jeans her eyes widen slightly at the sound of sheer joy in her voice as she quickly prattled on about jeans and what she wished to show. Tentatively she nodded her head taking the jeans from the woman muttering softly.

"I can try them on."

Quietly she headed towards the fitting rooms only stopping for a moment at one of the mannequins wearing a dress. Unsure if she was allowed to touch or not, she reached out and gingerly touched the hem of the dress, likening the feeling of the fabric. Blue-grey eyes looked upon the dress, approving how it looked, nothing seemed out of place and everything seemed covered. It a pretty deep navy dress trimmed with a light grey and cerulean blue. Though a small frown appeared on her mauled face as she shook her head remembering why she didn't like dresses in the first place. It revealed too much of her arms and legs, letting everyone see the scars she felt best to hide. Letting go of the hem of the dress she continued her trek towards the fitting rooms, placing the jeans on the hook and changing. Staring at herself in the mirror for a moment she stared at her legs, puzzled at seeing her legs for the first time underneath the dark fabric. Sensing Sam beyond the door she opened the door looking at the girl and gesturing to her legs.

"Sam....I think I like this one."
