Ashes to Ashes

The night that Crishlyn had approached the child vampire with the prospect of being a part of the coven she had been against it. It had riled up flickers of memory within Anna that her mental state had sought so hard to repress. It had taken quite a bit of time and persuading for Anna to agree to going to the vampire gathering. Not only was it the coven thing that bothered her but the entire event seemed dreadfully boring. She would much rather go out on a hunt with Crishlyn or play tea party. However, the woman held some sway over Anna; she did after all indulge in the child's games and dote on her with presents. It was only a matter of time before Anna reluctantly relented to follow Crishlyn to the event.

She had been sent to get ready and for a while Anna had simply stood there staring at the dress hanging up that Crishlyn had gotten for her. There was nothing wrong with the dress, it was truly a beautiful, a strapless ivory satin with intricate lace overlay wrapping around its neck and a satin bow at the waist. It was Anna's style, vintage, which Crishlyn in their outings had respected finding that Anna did not have a fancy towards the modern fashion. It was better to pick ones battles carefully and one at a time. First the coven event and then later could address different clothing. Anna slipped the dress over her head and put on the matching slipper shoes before carefully brushing her wavy golden hair until she heard Crishlyn call for her. Although Anna was used to seeing the older woman in the fine clothes that money could buy, she hadn't seen her in formal wear and the curve hugging dress gave the child momentary pause. Dutifully though she crossed the threshold and grasped the zipper, easily pulling it up the rest of the way before watching Crishlyn pull on her shoes.

The promise of a subsequent hunt and games bribed Anna enough to be on good behavior...at least right now. She was quiet the whole drive, her attention sliding between watching Crishlyn navigate the car and the scenery sliding by outside the window. Of course cars were nothing new to her but seeing as she was created before they were even a thought in someone's mind made them a general miracle of machinery. It wasn't until they parked in front of The Voodoo Room did Anna speak. "I know this place." It was Ceara's bar. Why were they here? This was supposed to be some coven thing by some woman Crishlyn had called Isolt...not her Ceara. Anna held to Crishlyn's offered hand as she always did as they entered. Lightly she tugged on the woman's hand, "Ceara..." Anna whispered and motioned to the light brunette occupying the redhead and strange man's attention. Immediately the child vampire was on alert, acting very much the attack guard dog, she was being confronted with an uncertain situation that, in her thoughts, she may have to protect those she knew from being harmed.

Anna's hand clenched and unclenched on Crishlyn's as they made their way to the trio. It took great control to keep her ability at bay and to not test the strings of the occupants. She paused as directed, allowing Crishlyn to make the introductions and the touch on her shoulder to remind her to be nice...or at least acceptable. Her crystal blue eyes moved from the familiar face of Ceara, to the man wrapped around the redhead who reminded Anna too much of Aidan and therefore drew a quick glare from the child, to the one named Isolt. Even through her fractured mind Anna could tell this one was young, not only could she feel it in the string that should Anna pluck it could fling the woman, but her eyes still held the light of the life so recently taken from her. It caused Anna to tilt her head slightly in curiosity, raising a brow before glancing back at Crishlyn with clear disbelief in her tone, "Her?" It wasn't meant to be an insult, the bluntness simply a side effect of her fractured mind.
