South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

There was something about the grumbling of her boyfriend that made Edie's anxieties seem to skyrocket. Truly, she had hardly expected him to enjoy the weather. She knew - now firsthand - how excruciatingly hot Africa was. His body remained entirely used to that kind of weather and that he had hardly any experience with the icy rain that currently came down on the pair on the sidewalks. It was in concern for her boyfriend that she dug into the duffle bag to retrieve that sweater. It was even more concern for the man when she mentioned the shopping. She let out a huff as he continued to grumble about it. "You can't survive here in t-shirts and jeans, Kato. It's so much colder here than Africa, and you'll freeze to death." She tried to keep her voice steady and calm with him despite the growing nervousness that bubbled in the English girl. "So..." She sighed, looking up at him with a bit of that irritation on her features "I know you don't do shopping, but just this once, you'll have to get over it."

She remained silent as she pulled him towards that bus and onto that seat. Everything about Edie felt like it was on edge, and part of it was the very demeanor of her boyfriend. He'd felt so distant since she'd spoken to him on the plane, and even despite the teasing he offered her as they sat down, she could tell something was so incredibly off between the two of them. "Well, it's not the first time that you've seen me look drowned, now is it?" Though she was entirely teasing, her tone lacked the jesting that she normally used for her boyfriend. Instead, she just let him take his hand and focused on distracting him. It was her own insecurities that had her bringing up their conversation on the plane.

Truly, Edie had had no intentions of ever telling Kato anything about what had happened in England, and yet the trauma that had occurred to her seemed to bubble to the surface. She tried so hard to not tell him, and yet on the plane she had spilled all of her dirty secrets. Or at least, most of them. The majority of the things that she'd gone through had been explained within that plane ride, and yet there was so much that had happened within those years of her early life. It was the kind of things she had nightmares about, though those had ebbed to very rare ones as time had gone on and now were nearly nonexistent due to the man that sat beside her.

His reassurance that he wasn't nervous only made the girl look up. "Well... I am..." She admitted, reaching up to run a hand through her brown locks. She could tell that there was something more that he was hiding. More that he was thinking. "I'm terrified, honestly. I..." She moved to lean her head on Kato's shoulder as she tugged her knees up to her chest. She worked to make herself as small as possible as she pressed herself against Kato's side. Even his assurance that she didn't have to talk to him about it didn't help as the anxieties seemed to pour out of the woman. "When I left I..." She started, her voice cutting off as he inquired about the tourist sites outside of the walls of the bus.

"Oh, um..." Edie sat up once more, cutting off the touch between the two of them save for their hands still intwined. She smiled softly to herself as she thought of the town in which she'd grown up in. "I lived in York. It's... beautiful. I never did a lot of tourist type things... There's abbeys and cathedrals and so many beautiful museums. At some point, I'd love to take you to London. I've only been once, but I loved it so much. Oh, and Ireland..." She seemed to light up almost immediately as she discussed the land in which she'd grown up in. She looked over and smiled at him. "I know it's not Africa. It's not as expansive... but it's beautiful."

She fell silent then as her mind worked out all the beautiful places in which she would take her boyfriend, the girl only reacting once more as that bus slid to a stop and she tugged him off the vehicle. "Okay, we have to get on one more train, and then I promise that we're done being on moving vehicles, my love. Are you okay?" She still remained so blissfully unaware of her newfound ability to keep hold on his motion sickness, the woman entirely assure that he must be miserable. Still, the sooner they got to York, the sooner that they could check into a hotel and she could pull herself in close to him.

The train ride was spent in much the same level of silence for the young girl. There were so few people in the world that she could sit in silence with, and yet Kato remained one of those elite. It was only when the train pulled up at the station did Edie speak once more. "Welcome to York, my love. The very town that produced yours truly," She grinned, pressing a kiss to his cheek before she pulled him off the train and out of the station. It was overcast still, but at least here there was no rain - at least not presently. It was still decidedly cold for the African, and yet Edie was positive he'd see the lack of drizzle as a plus. "So, your choice. Hotel or shopping first?" She grinned over at him, trying her best to smile through the insecurities that plagued her.
