South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

When you spend so much time inside your own little world where the vaulted ceilings are held aloft by stacks of technical manuals borrowed from the library and ordered from manufacturers on behalf of "Vandelay Industries" (I had to get creative once I'd exhausted the library's stock) it's easy to forget the world outside is filled with those studying their own brand of witchcraft. The blank stare on the young woman's face was all too familiar in that regard. I blush a bit and open my mouth to explain but come up empty; a different topic catches her interest and she changes the subject to the rare celestial coincidence as I make my adjustments. She does that thing again, where she idly rocks back and forth on her feet like a child whose patience is being tested; it's cute. I smile warmly as Serafina introduces herself and officially welcomes me; she is the first to actually do so. I offer up the view I've prepared and she accepts without half a thought and I blush furiously again when she brushes me.

I suppose you could say I was fortunate in my upbringing; we didn't always have nice things but my parents did everything they could to foster my curiosity and encourage the flights of fancy I'd find myself on. This, more often than not, led to me finding a mélange of interesting and unique items - most of which were broken because, let's face it, who throws away perfectly good stuff! It was through these excursions and my own curious disassembling of, ironically enough, my own nice things that I became both technically well versed and came to take for granted certain items that normally hold some amount of stupefaction over people. This strikes me and forces a small chuckle as I take a step back and appreciate my piecemeal telescope through another's perspective. The look of wonder and glee on her face was reward enough for my hard work and I make a mental note to share my private endeavors more often. It was evident she had a certain adoration for the heavens above and equally tragic she had neither a access to a telescope or one of her own. "Sometimes, though I don't often have access to such a perfect place for stargazing." I look up with her and give a small contented sigh.

After a moment of gazing with my new friend I'm asked a question I really should have been expecting. "Ah, my sign?" I ponder for a moment and then chuckle. "I was born in July so...that'd make me a...Leo? I never really paid much attention to the horoscope page of the newspaper. Care to enlighten me?" I ask, giving a tauntingly inviting smile. Night life indeed, I think there's more to tonight than just star gazing.
