South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The beach was beautiful on a night like tonight. She sat on the dunes and stared up at the starry night sky. The moon was 3/4 full and she could already feel the power it gave her kind running through her veins. By tomorrow, she'd be humming with feral energy, ready to go out into the woods and hunt and act like just a coyote again. It was nice to get a little break from all the human drama every so often. Sure, it was still new for her and she couldn't get enough of watching people and how they interact. She felt like she was learning so much but also like she still had so much left to learn. She knew she had friends now that she could talk to and learn from but she didn't want to be a burden on anyone.

She'd already taken up too much of everyone she knew's time in her opinion. Henry needed to reconnect with his boyfriend. Frost and Nadya needed to get some time together, hopefully not always with the cubs in tow so they could have some "real" alone time. Tetradore needed to be with his pack. That just left her and meeting new faces. So that's exactly what she'd been up to lately. She ran into a couple Were's that didn't smell of packs so she had her hopes up that by the end of it, she'd have two new pack members for Frost to charm in that way only he could. She was starting to build a database of sorts on Hunters and that could only help her kind. They needed to know the strengths and weaknesses of Hunters just as much, if not more, than the Hunters needed to know about them. Fair was fair.

She spied two figures walking up the beach toward her. She tensed at first, squinting in the dark, but then she caught whiff of a familiar scent. Her lips immediately broke out in a grin. Henry. But who was he with? Her brow rose up. She didn't recognize his scent but it had an odd taste of magic to it. So not a human. What could he be? Maybe a warlock like that guy she met in the pack? She wondered if his blood was silver colored too. Would that be rude to ask? They were coming closer and she thought about hiding, letting them walk on by. What if Henry didn't want to be bothered tonight? They certainly seemed cozy. Were they holding hands?

But they were already too close and Henry would smell her if he hadn't already. Sighing in happy defeat, she lifted a hand and waved, getting up to saunter toward them. She caught the tail end of what Henry was saying, something about a microwave? "Gotta watch your fingers though. Food tends to be hot when it comes out of those things." She spoke from firsthand experience of course, her gaze lifting to Henry's in jest since he was witness to her incident with the hot cheese fries from the microwave in that hotel room. Then she turned her brilliant smile on the man beside him. "Hi, I'm Malia."
