South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Although the ivory stallion was, undoubtedly, Alexander's preferred choice for his own mount, he was hardly above choosing alternatives in the face of Frost's rejection. It was those very options he laid before the steed, if only for the knowledge of that clear hint of jealousy that seemed to exist within the equine creature. Alexander was entirely inclined to believe that it was Frost's dominance as Alpha that prompted that possessiveness within the beast and yet, he fully intended to utilize that trait against the horse in that singular moment as he mentioned the ebony Barb. The steed was highly trained, of that even the Macedonian King was aware of, his trust was unquestionable, and too his loyalty steadfast to the bitter end. It was those very facets that often inclined riders towards their mounts - those attributes were too ones he attempted to foster within the stallion, though how much they had taken hold remained to be seen. Either way, Alexander presented his companion with a blase shrug, only to consider taking a new colt under his wing if only to start from scratch, without the poor previous training Darius held or the angry seclusion that Frost harbored. He hardly anticipated the sudden repulsion that Frost took to the idea, though perhaps he should given the boy's past.

He listened silently all the same as Frost spoke of those trials that he himself had clearly endured and yet, Alexander hardly held the same level of loathing. However, rather then interjecting, the King remained silent as Frost finish that clear retort. A soft sound of consideration left the Dark Hunter's lips as he leaned against the railing of that home, only for his blue-green eyes to shift towards the fellow near him. "I was thirteen when I was tutored by Aristotle on Philosophy and Politics. I was sixteen when I joined my father's army and we marched to what is now Europe. I was eighteen when I became the commander of my father's cavalry and nineteen when I took the throne. To you they may be mere boys but do not doubt what a 'mere boy' is capable of." Alexander was hardly unaware of how culture had changed, what he had accomplished as a mere boy had been all but normal of his time and yet, now Frost considered it little more than barberic. Time had changed so greatly since his youth and yet, in somethings, Alexander had not. He was well aware that taking such a route to train a colt would surely be more time consuming and yet, Alexander had nothing if not time to dedicate to a horse. "What is a few years in the span of a lifetime? If I can count on him to serve me for the remainder of his life, I am willing to put a few years of effort into him."
He knew well what Frost was doing, attempting to find faults in those plans to leave himself the only viable option and yet, Alexander had little intention to force the stallion to join him. No, this had to be of his own free will. It was that very fact that surely prompted the man's hand to reach out towards Frost, even if the steed's hand rose in return, stopping short of batting his fingers away. His touch trailed, light as a feather against the smooth, pale skin of Frost's cheek, brushing just under that eye he knew was blind side. Those words were spoken with a level of softness to them, that care altogether obvious as he promised Frost the one thing he could. Regardless of the man's choice in the matter, those Hunters would never come for him again. He watched as Frost's hand lifted upwards and yet, the Macedonian King hardly fought the Icelandic fellow as he removed his fingers, only to put his hand within Alexander's own. His own promise within his steed's native tongue was entirely genuine and yet, that gentle moment of agreement between them hardly seemed to linger long. Frost, he knew well, was not prone to such tenderhearted actions and yet, it hardly perturbed Alexander either which way as the King leaned back against the railing of the porch, his gaze instead falling to the home across the street and those haphazardly trimmed hedges before it.

Those questions certainly shouldn't have been surprising in any sense, and yet, even Alexander was almost hesitant to admit the lengths he had threatened to go to in order to be awarded that position of High Commander. After all, as far as the Macedonian King was concerned, they shouldn't have been needed in the first place. What cavalry, in all of history, could even compare to the ones he commanded? The Companion Cavalry, in all renditions and rebirths of it over the years, were always something to prompt fear within their enemy. They were always victorious. That upward arch of the man's eye combined with that idle comment of the council prompted a soft chuckle upon Alexander's lips, his head shook ever so slightly. "Both, I suspect. Though I am older than all three of the local council members combined. I fear they have no idea of what to do with me." He could hardly help that small shrug upon his shoulders and yet, that hint of amusement still lingered all the same.

It was natural, really, the way in which their conversation shifted towards that unit under their newfound control and the work that surely would need to be done to whip them back into shape. The training he intended to put them through would undoubtedly be rigorous and yet, it would make them all better for it. He was hardly surprised that Frost's first desired goal of his newly appointed position resulted in the removal of Darius and yet, Alexander was unwilling to let the steed go, not when he still had a role to perform. That thought of a Lieutenant, however, seemed to quickly distract him as the man inquired of the names of those hunters he hardly knew. It was those individuals, surely, that would take the most offense to Matteo and himself as outsiders. Not to mention the fact that his own Lieutenant was hardly a Hunter at all. He was already prepared for the ripples that alone would cause. "No one you know, no one from the Cavalry but he has served at my side for over a thousand years. I trust him." He was rather firm on that final point, that friendship he had with the Frenchman transcended those expectations of him as far as promotions went. Still, he would need to restructure things accordingly to regain the loyalty of the late Xerxes unit.

It was that very notion of how he intended to change those hunter ranks that prompted Alexander to speak of their children. He suspected Frost might hold some reservation from Calliel joining that unit, particularly considering his own past experiences with it and yet, he was pleasantly surprised to find Frost was hardly concerned of it. "She has already been training beneath my daughter for several months now. You didn't thnk I'd have your Vector working at my cafe and not put her to use, did you?" That very relationship had been one that had been easy enough to detect, particularly considering the man was privileged enough to see how the pair reacted to one another, or, more often than not, simply avoided each other. Alexander knew well Calliel's persona and her associated traits that Frost saw to warn him of. If anyone would suite her, it would be Anastasia. Those very questions of the Grand Duchess were hardly surprising, particularly considering how little the man spoke of his creation to any at all. "She is my creation." Alexander clarified, only to pause with indecision. How much should he inform Frost of? Alexander was hardly an open book by any means and even this saw him to hesitate if only for the level of trust it required him to put into the were-stallion. "I had Anastasia and Calliel meet several months ago. I believe the two have had their....troubles but they seem to get along well enough. Should such a relationship prove to be...unsatisfying, I will find another mare for Anastasia and release Calliel from the cavalry. At the very least she won't be stuck as a warhorse." Though it was hardly very informative, Alexander at least sought to reassure the stallion of his intentions.

Alexander hardly anticipated that invitation indoors and yet, the notion of the sheer number of felines within Frost's home caused his nose to wrinkle in distaste. "Of course they are." He muttered darkly and yet, any murderous thoughts he might have held towards the felines were disrupted by that sudden inquiry of riding. He had hardly expected that invitation and yet, Alexander accepted it all the same. "Let's go, you can ask your questions along the way." Alexander moved from that railing, only to make his way down the steps of the porch and onto the sidewalk in front of the home. He glanced back at the man, simply waiting and watching whilst Frost handled those final matters before they left that home. The Dark Hunter led the way out of that neighborhood and towards the park, hardly wanting the prying eyes of Frost's neighbors before the shift. Frankly, he hardly knew how aware they were of that household full of weres but, he had enough respect and consideration for his mount to not demand the fellow shift right then and there where others might see and that 'indecent exposure' might be a problem. It was hardly all that difficult to find a place tucked away in that park and away from the playscapes to be utilized for that transformation, even if Alexander hardly intended to remain within the park for their ride.

For now, the Dark Hunter's gaze kept to their surroundings in an effort to keep a look out whilst Frost rid himself of those clothes and that confining human form. A snort from the ivory steed was all that he needed to inform him that shift was finished and soon, those blue-green settled upon the familiar figure of the draft equine. A small simper settled upon his features as he moved towards the stallion, his hands reached out only to brush against Frost's cheeks. His hand gingerly reached up to follow his companion's cheek towards the beginning of his nape, simply stroking that fur tenderly before his forehead ever so gingerly leaned forward to bump against Frost's own. "I have missed you, o ágrios epivítoras mou." He muttered softly, the Hunter entirely willing to simply stand there for a moment before his head lifted, his lips gingerly pressed against Frost's forehead as he released the stallion from his grasp. His hand gingerly followed along Frost's nape as he made his way towards the stallion's back, lifting himself, with the assistance of the stallion's foreleg, onto the large equine's back.
