The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Resting right on the beach near the small, locally owned shops and markets sits a bar and bistro with an elegant yet modern interior. There is seating both indoors and outdoors on the back patio where one can enjoy the melodic sounds of saltwater waves and fresh air. The menu consists of French dishes alongside American and Seafood choices and a wide range of liquors at the bar inside to accommodate the varied tastes and cravings of its customers. It is a charming little establishment that allows for those needing a break from the busy city streets to come and unwind.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

BA in Plant Biology Abigail Hughes
She hadn't even stopped to consider that if women wore barely nothing in the water, then men probably didn't either. Sure, she'd seen Frost and Henry nude plenty of times when they were shifting and stuff but since Ashton was so awkward about clothing coming off, she didn't assume that he would be taking any off this time. Plus, man, the guy was built. He should be warding off the strangers in bars left and right looking like that. She swallowed and looked down at the sand to compose herself, letting out a soft breath. He grabbed his board and headed toward the water and she went to follow him. She didn't mind the view too much from back here either. She tilted her head a little but cleared her throat and straightened back up after a few seconds. Yeah, she really needed to do something about her hormones.
She could only hope that Ashton didn't mind too much that she was in a bikini. She'd hate to have to figure out this whole swimming thing with a scratchy shirt and shorts on. When she looked up at Ashton, she swore she saw something there for a minute, some kind of discomfort, but then he cleared his throat and said to get in the water so she nodded and stepped in. A squeal leapt from her throat as her toes sunk into the water. "It's so freaking COLD!" She wrapped her arms around herself. She didn't remember the creeks and stuff being this cold! Plus she had her nice fur coat then but still! How was she going to be able to do this? She started shivering, her teeth chattering as she looked to Ashton. "Aren't you freezing?" She couldn't understand how could he stand there so nonchalantly in the water. He only went deeper then, only stopping when he was waist deep.
She took a few deep breaths and clenched her jaw as she stepped in a little more. It came up to her ankles and she shrieked again through her gritted teeth. Taking some more deep breaths, she went a little further, the water hitting her knees this time. She jumped, her head snapping to Ashton when he told her to look at the board. She needed some sort of distraction right now. Her brow lifted as she looked at the board floating on the water. Her lips turned up in a scowl. "How does it do that?" Then he told her to get on the board on her stomach and paddle. She laughed. "You want me..." She pointed to herself. "To go over there..." She pointed at him. "And get on that board? In this water?" She pointed down at the water. Finally she sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Fine, just...give me a minute." She took some more deep breaths before gritting her teeth and plunging forward toward him and the board. By the time she put her hand on the board, her teeth was chattering again and she scowled at him. "Happy now?" Then she looked at the board. "Now how do I get on this thing? It moves."
