The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

PhD in Plant Biology Abigail Hughes
It could not be denied that she was tired.
The past few years had taken their toll on her body and her spirit with a ravenous severity that few others had done in all of the decades of her life. The evidence of the strife that she had endured had seeped into the small creases at the edges of her otherwise beautiful sage eyes, it had carved itself into the austere line of her jaw, the dip beneath the stern curves of her cheekbones. They years had fed from her as some blood-fat leech, had made her thinner... if only just so. They were simple changes, insignificant to the eyes of an outsider.
But it was not an outsider that she sought.
Undeniably, Anastasia had not spent the same amount of time in this city as Alexander and so had not acquainted herself with his most preferred haunts outside of his little cafe and these headquarters, of sorts. The Duchess had not even to step foot inside of the quaint bistro to know that the elder hunter did not linger within for she could not feel him there. It was the same sense that all supernatural creations had for their makers, she supposed; a warmth, of sorts, that radiated in some phantom core within her. It bloomed in this place, unfurling its petals and warming her as she sauntered through the mostly vacant stables.
And then... the redheaded woman rounds a corner and there he was, his back given to her but it was undeniably him. She lingers for a long moment, considering her Maker and all of the things she wished so earnestly to tell him. Not oft in her life had she yearned for the companionship or counseling of others, this staunch adherence to her own independence surely having lent itself in no small measure to her success as a hunter. Yet even so, there were those exceedingly rare occasions upon which she sought the companionship and guidance of one of the only individuals from whom she would accept it.
Anastasia turns to him then, venturing a few steps before finally addressing him. "Otets," she offers in little more than a whisper. Father. It was folly to believe that he might not notice the otherwise trivial changes in her, though whether he would find it fitting to make a mention of them was quite another matter entirely.
