South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I'd hate to get caught around here at night. I think to myself as I round another corner in the run-down warehouse district. Funny misnomer I guess; while it has its fair share of warehouses, many seem to be businesses of some kind. Many of the makeshift store fronts are locked down with massive metal, graffiti-riddled doors, others are protected by the classic accordion gate and a few are even open for business at this hour. A few neon signs shine uselessly into the afternoon sun while other, more sensible, signs hang in windows or over entryways, advertising the contents of their shops. Plenty of things to purchase here you won't find downtown: mystics and fortune-tellers, incense and voodoo, there's even a guy down that alley giving someone...gills? I hurry past lest I become an organ donor.

I stop into a record shop for a short detour before remembering I neither have a record player nor enough money to support collecting vintage vinyl labels as a casual hobby, the hippie store guy was nice enough unless that was just the joint he was poorly concealing with some kind of incense. Moving on I take note of an attractive looking blues joint unattractively oozing smoke out the front door, might be a cool place to check out in the future, maybe come down with the neighbor girl for a night on the town? Suddenly, absolutely out of nowhere, the sky covers over and opens up like it's got a bone to pick with the ants crawling beneath it, sending me scampering to the nearest open door I can find before I get too soaked.

I barge in to the unknown shop and turn around, closing the door behind me and taking a few deep breaths of relief â€" the smell hits me first; this place is burning something strong. I return to the store at hand and I'm met with a staggering array of...well...everything. Everywhere I look there's some kind of knick-knack or doodad. An incense burner is half way through a stick up at the front counter but even that smell has stiff competition from the shelves of scented candles and barrels of various incense sticks turning the air into a cacophony of scents and smells. Gems and jewelry and golden idols catch and reflect the lights in a dazzling display for the eyes to behold while various vibrant vials of varying ... something that starts with a "v", volumes? I'll go with volumes for the sake of the alliteration. All this set to a weird trance-y Indian meditation music or something, it's all very... Zen? I guess? "Uh, hello?" I don't immediately see anyone but I start looking upon the shelves at the various baubles, unsure where I am exactly or how long this storm will keep me here.

Slow down you crazy child
You're so ambitious for a juvenile
But then if you're so smart, tell me
why are you still so afraid?
