South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

I swear at some point I hear a low growl but I can't pinpoint the direction it came from. Could be because there's a growling leopard with Raven a few feet away and Nadya's jaguar form only so far away as well. When I smell something different, I snap my head around, blue gold eyes landing on the small feline form on the edge of the clearing. I don't know what kind of animal he is but he's much closer to my size and I don't feel threatened by his presence. I blink a few times, offering a timid wag of my tail but I can tell he's ready to bolt at any moment, as he should, because there's no telling when these bigger cats will want a snack.

Another feline scent hits my nostrils and my head starts snapping around just in time to see a large white cat with black spots landing on the ground and sliding over to Nadya. The action makes me scamper a little further away from Nadya, since I don't know or trust this large white cat who looks like she could eat me in one bite. My ears flicker, taking in the words of the cat as she thanks Nadya. It seems Nadya has been out making friends with other Weres.

Yet another scent hits my nostrils and I snap my head around again, eyes widening at the large male wolf form leaping at the leopard as if to grapple him. I can hear his yell of surprise as he then dives for the football. They're playing like cubs and yet so many different breeds of feline here. It's more than intimidating. I watch him circle around Raven and give her a grin of sorts and a wink. I tilt my head. Does Raven know this wolf?

She seems rather irritated with the leopard however, complaining about the loud yowling noise he made and I thought she was going to snap at him when he landed on her tail. I can see that in one way or another, the leopard is trying to teach her how to make noise and she seems unable to do so. I tilt my head. Has she never howled with other wolves? She yells at him that it hurt when he landed on her tail but she doesn't retaliate. She does try ot play with him however, grabbing for the football, only to drop it when he grabbed around her neck. She seems too shocked.

When she suddenly starts growing, I backpeddle hastily and gulp, eyes wide as saucers now. When did that happen? Is that a new power? She starts toward the leopard, only to hesitate when the large male wolf jumps in though she seems amused rather than wary so I guess she does know the wolf. She goes to the leopard, asking if he's okay and I tilt my head in recognition of the name. Tobi. Isn't that what that man in the alley who grabbed me called himself? So he's a leopard? It would make sense with the way he was looking at me. It was definitely the look of a large predator. What happened to attract all these cats anyway? Is there some catnip hidden somewhere that I don't know about?

I start to turn to the woods but when I hear a familiar woof, I pause and turn back slowly, ears pricked forward at Raven as she steps toward me. Besides Nadya, she's one of the few who I know and has shown kindness to me. She even offered me a place to stay and food to eat. My tail gives a small wave to her, offering a shy smile in greeting even though it's easy to tell that I'm definitely on edge with all these larger animals around. I watch as she lowers her head and tells me not to go home, to stay. I shiver as I look around at the other Weres then back at her.

"What if...they try...to eat me?"

Raven must be catching onto the other scents too because she suddenly looks around, a small growl issuing as she looks at Nadya before she back steps away, still looking around. With her looking nervous, it only feeds my own nerves. When she looks back at me, I know that she can smell the hidden scents, the male scents that aren't out in the open. I did see the small feline male so I know he's less of a threat but the other male is probably big like these other cats. I listen as she tells Tobi that he brought other males, her voice uneasy and I feed off of her emotions since she's the closest thing I have to a pack.

Tobi seems mostly undeterred by her change in size, still launching himself at her anyway. When he's suddenly grabbed by the large male wolf, a sound like a purr escapes his throat as he tries to grapple with the other wolf now. It seems most of these Weres know each other. I wonder if the cats are a pack. Tobi starts moving his own head around, probably catching onto the scents. He looks at Nadya like he knows her all too well, his gaze falling on me and I tremble at the look in his eyes, that look of possession. This must be the boy from the alley. He lopes toward us and I freeze, knowing fully well that I should be running and yet he lands right beside me with a purr, calling me Pretty like he did in the alley. I recoil away from him, my fur bristling as my lips curl back, warning him to keep his distance. We made a deal to play together but I don't think this is the time or place with so many unfamiliar Weres around that could turn his play time into dinner time.

I listen as he scoffs at Raven, telling her that indeed the other cats are his pack. He starts naming them off, Nadya, then someone named Tetra which makes me wonder if that's the cat I keep smelling but can't see. He names the unseen cat his leader which doesn't help my nerves any. He must be the biggest, or close to. He introduces us next like we're at a common dinner party, calling Raven Birdie and me Pretty. He names off the large wolf as Lucian. When he notices the large white and black cat however, his attitude changes completely and suddenly he's hissing and lashing out his claws at her. He doesn't seem to like her for some reason so I guess she's not pack.

He suddenly takes off, loping across the clearing before he jumps into a tree where I can just make out some glowing eyes. Could this be the Tetra he mentioned? I can't hear their conversation so I look back at Raven, definitely uneasy. I see Nadya's possessive look, almost making me think her and Tobi might be related. She says something like Squishy but I can't figure out what she's talking back. When she suddenly crouches down and bats her large paw at me, I jump back, only to notice that her gaze is steadily watching my tail. I start to smirk a bit in amusement as she rolls onto her back, apparently eager to keep playing with it but then the large white snow leopard arrives and she sits back up, purring her name, Ezra, before telling her that she is welcome here.

When Tobis approaches me, I can feel the sudden tension in the air and I glance back at Nadya, uneasy, even as I recoil from Tobi. I growl at him in warning about my space right before someone suddenly grabs me. I bark in shock, immediately struggling even as I note that the one holding me is not trying to actually bite but rather hold me like a mother would. I go limp, looking down at the black paws beneath me and concluding that Nadya must be holding me. When she sets me down after moving closer to the white leopard, I look up at her in puzzlement before recoiling away from the snow leopard since I don't know or trust her. Nadya holds her body over mine protectively which makes me look for Raven since I know she would protect me too.

When I catch the sudden movement as Tobi leaps down from the tree, I sniff the air, sensing that he's with the smaller feline. I can just make out his words telling the cat to run, that he'll chase him. I seem to have a thing about protecting others who get bullied, perhaps because I was bullied my whole life. EVen in my own fear, I seem to overcome it just long enough to get myself into trouble all the time, like when I tried to save the old man from being robbed just for Nadya to have to come in and save me. And yet I can't help the sudden anger in my body when I see Tobi hunched over, ready to chase down the male cat and do who knows what to him when he catches him. Without warning, I dart backwards, knowing Naya will try to stop me with her fore paws a lot quicker than with her back. I jump forward, aware that she might even use her tail as a weapon to stop me as I race across the clearing toward the two cats. Before I know it, I'm landing between the smaller cat and Tobi, my back arched up like a cat with my fur bristled, my tail all fluffed out and swishing in anger as I peel my lips back and part my jaws in a snarl.

"Leave...him...ALONE."

I could very well die tonight.
