South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

sharp objects make me giddy

I for one am happy to having found the drink Kohl offered me and then finding the plane seat was pretty comfortable after all. I would much rather have slept the whole plane ride than sit there digging my nails into the seat arms and praying that we touch down safely and soon. I definitely couldn't have entertained myself with the magazines such as Kohl. I wouldn't be able to read half an article without hurling in my seat the first time I catch a glance out the window. As for being nervous about what awaits us at the airport? I've never been nervous about anything in my life save Kohl himself. Being in a relationship is the newest thing I've ever had to do, being intimate and open with someone about my life. It's still hard ot fall into the groove of things sometimes but thank god Kohl is patient. But meeting someone new? I wouldn't raise a brow at that one. I've been meeting new people my whole life.

Kohl seems relieved to finally be off the airplane though I know he's not nearly so relieved as I am to be on solid ground again. I figured he'd be looking forward to being with his friends again though the more I look over at him as we get our things together int he airport, the more I wonder just how nervous he might be. When the woman Elena makes her way toward us, he certainly seems relieved by her inspection of him before she moves past him to give me the same scrutiny. I am never one to flinch from anything and I'm not about to start now so I stand straight and tall before her and offer my hand but her words surpise me. Of course I've always been a master of disguising what I'm thinking so it never shows on my face, one brow merely rising an inch before I smile more dazzling than ever and pull my hand back with the grace of a tiger. "Of course, you're absolutely right. I'll take that number whenever you're free and get with them immediately. I would offer the same gesture you gave Kohl but then I wouldn't want to dirty your flawless cheeks with airplane germs. Raincheck?"

The words fall from my lips with all the charm of any woman raised in a proper household though I was actually raised in anything but. My pearly white smile never falters and my eyes never leave her own, the silent challenge there though disguised as innocent confidence. My way of saying I won't back down and bow before her but I also won't be impolite on her home turf. I can show civility and I know how to play the proper mind games of women in society just as good as any. She seems almost surprised that Kohl has spoken of her as she leans in to air kiss each of my cheeks and I lean in and smile as if genuinely pleased with the greeting though there are some I will never understand and this is definitely one of them. But none the less, the confidence is there the whole time.

When she asks of my name, I laugh a little under my breath, shaking my head. "Oh no, it's just what my close friends call me. My full name is Katarina Adele Foster and no, I've never had the pleasure of coming to your lovely city. I do hope you'll give the honor of a grand tour." Hope twinkles in my eyes the way they should from any tourist even though Kohl knows perfectly well I've been here before and I dare him silently to go against what I just said. Maybe I shouldn't lie but if I feel it's going to help get me further into her graces, I'm sure a little white lie or two won't hurt. I hear Kohl's sharp reply but the look she gives him back is enough to murder someone but luckily who I believe must be the young husband he was talking about steps forward and throws his arms around me.

I've never been comfortable with touching, especially from strangers but keeping up the facade, I laugh softly and hold on even tighter to my luggage for the pretense of not wanting to drop it to hug him back. Surely he'll understand. He doesn't seem offended as he moves away to shake Kohl's hand and I catch the look she gives them, my own face still a mirror of happiness as the man then drops keys into Kohl's hand. My brow lifts in curiosity. The man speaks of his car and my eyes beam. Finally, something I'm more comfortable with. I give him a dazzling smile as I move toward Kohl to take his arm. "You mean you actually got ahold of one of those? Impressive. I hear they made less than 20 before they stopped production. I'm guessing it'll be one of the more enhanced ones with the raised RPM limit and bio fuel capabilities." I practically purr the words as Kohl says we'll meet them at the house. I give Etienne another dazzling smile. "I can't wait to feel that new ceramic piston brake system in action."

As he goes for my hand, I entwine my fingers with his as naturally as water under a bridge. I have at least gotten used to this affectionate gesture. When the odd couple start to argue, I find my brows lifting as I can perfectly understand their French but of course I have to appear as if they're simply speaking in an alien language. Still, it's hard not to let my lips at least twitch with humor at some of the things they say. Meanwhile I let Kohl lead me out to the car and I can't help but whistle in appreciation even as the onlooker turn to see us. At his words, my eyes light up like Christmas lights, turning to him with a child-like grin as I catch the keys tossed to me. "Direct me if you can." I reply daringly as I move to the driverside door, my eyes practically challenging anyone to try a key snatch mission today because I won't hesitate to put them on the ground.

I get into the driver's side and run my fingers gently over the smooth steering wheel. Knowing many of Kohl's quirks by now, I immediately pull the seat belt around me before he can say something, giving him a knowing smile even as I put the keys in the ignition. The car purrs to life like a mountain lion in its prime and I lean back in my seat, a soft moan escaping my lips in response even as I turn back to him. "You're too good to me sometimes. You know that, right?" I say the words as genuinely as possible before I put the car in gear and pull smoothly out into traffic, weaving the car through traffic as gracefully as if it was choreographed. I've always known my way around cars even if I've also walked far more miles in my lifetime than probably anyone ever. You always have to know your weapons, no matter what nature.
