South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I'll love you for a thousand more....

Growing up back home, Scarlett really didn't have much interaction with other weres. Her little town, where everyone knew everyone, contained mostly humans. There were a few supernaturals around, primarily old witches and warlocks, but not many. In her nineteen years of living there, she had encountered probably 10 were creatures, many simply passing through the small town as there was very little there to make anyone want to stay, unless of course you liked farms, fields, and rickety old barns everywhere. One of those weres happened to be the one that bit her, on Halloween night when what she thought was another farm dog turned out to be a werewolf. It was a tough transition, made worse by the death of her parents in a car crash and the fact that there simply wasn't anyone to help her. The witches and warlocks helped of course, taught her what they could about her new life, but for the most part she was self taught.

It was reassuring to Scarlett to see the large feline lower her haunches to the ground, she was no threat and the panther seemed to be understanding this fact. The distance between them was still cold, but she hoped to change that, somehow get this female to warm up to her. Scarlett was in desperate need of a friend, someone to help her, someone to talk to. Back home she only had one friend her age and her grandparents to keep her company, and then she started traveling and had no one. Now, starting college in Sacrosanct, she had another opportunity to meet people, people like her. "I see..." the girl says, contemplative of the truth to Scarlett's statement. There was obvious distrust, something even more deep seeded than the normal cat dog feud.

The onyx colored cat tilted her head, golden eyes staring at the wolf who felt no need to get up from her relaxed position. "I'm Nadya, Beta to the Nightshade pack in the West." the cat says, motioning west with her maw to which emerald eyes follow. Packs. Another foreign thing to the wolf. She had bumped into a few in her travels, learned the hierarchy system, but never been apart of one. Beta was a high up rank, she thought, second in command actually. An interesting detail she would note in her brain incase something were to bring her to this pack, maybe even bring her to join."It's nice to meet you Nadya," Scarlett says, that same friendly, wolfish grin spreading across her maw.

"I'm assuming you traveled here alone?" Nadya asks. Cream and brown head nods in response, tail continuing a gentle sway upon the grassy floor. "Excuse the terrible pun but yes, I am a lone wolf," she says, a hint of a chuckle at the godawful pun that seemed unavoidable in her mind. "Whats pack life like? I've never been in a pack nor really seen one. I grew up in a tiny little town where there was like 2 other resident were creatures, so i've never really been around our kind enough to get an idea," It was a genuine question and one she had no problem following up with facts about herself. There was no harm in telling the panther about herself because what was she really going to do with it? Besides just know about it to understand Scarlett more, there was no secret that could be used against the wolf.
