South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Anna-Marie Belrose

She was hungry...oh so very hungry. The one thing about living in a town that was fully aware of the supernatural world was the hunters that took it upon themselves to flock and protect the humans. Dear little Anna-Marie hadn't really expected the hunters to be as problematic as they had become. One in particular had certainly caused Anna to become more cautionary in her hunting. They called him Azzy though the child vampire just called him Ass. He was trigger happy that's for sure and seemed to have an astute awareness for prime vampire hunting grounds. That unfortunate fact had Anna searching other parts of town for her play things, though with a hunter taking up the shopping district, and another in residences it left very few places for her to find a meal. Though vampires could go a decent amount of time in between feedings it wasn't without its impact. The very ability that aided the child in getting her meals waned in its effectiveness. No longer was she strong enough to bring grown men to their knees, hardly able to wobble even a child now, which meant she had to rely completely on the given strength of her species. Which her size had proven problematic as well.

The last few weeks had seen the once volatile and proud vampire turn within herself becoming quieter and slower. At least even with her weakened state Anna didn't let that affect her appearance of course; nothing but the finest for dear Anna-Marie. She was dressed in a babydoll blue dress that went to her knees, white stockings, and a white knit jacket that her long golden tresses lay over to her mid-back. Her polished black buckle shoes thumped near silently along on the damp packed earth. She was using the short path through the forest to get to the park although with the weather she doubted it would be any less barren of people than the rest of the town. Unfortunately it didn't seem like tonight would be shaping up to be fruitful with a meal again. Sure she could go rummaging around the homeless shelters for an easy drunk but the mere thought of stooping to that level made the proud girl shudder. No, she'd rather die than drink that dirty and intoxicated blood.

Or maybe not. The smell of blood that drifted on the subtle breeze jerked Anna from her silent brooding. Like a well-trained scent hound Anna followed the scent, driven purely and near blindly by her hunger. Her stride slowed as the huddled figure, the source of the smell, became visible. Anna hugged the shadows at the perimeter around the stranger, her once brilliant icy blue eyes darkened from her lack of feeding, staring at the woman who seemed distraught and talking to herself. Her gaze fell on the blood that welled up and slithered down the woman's leg before flickering to the blood on her forehead with its hue complimenting the red of her hair. For a moment Anna just stood there staring, clutching the doll that hung at her side in one hand as her other fingers twitched in desperate want to snag on to whatever essence of the woman she could, wishing to simply drag the bloodied woman to her for an easy feast. But no, if she wanted to eat tonight she'd have to do it the old- fashioned way. "Are you lost?" Surely it was usually the adults asking her that same question due to her appearance but it was no less of an important question. Lost people were not noticed when dead.
