South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I only knew her for the yearly slain;
and wept and weep until she comes again

Watching the individuals that had been pegged as targets by the council brought only the slightest wave of melancholia over the ancient woman â€" leaving her with tendrils of longing for a place and a time unmarred by the contemporary stupidity all but emanating off of every move the council made. Their choices of targets made little to no sense; though Anubis believed whole heartedly in the annihilation of the races posing threats to humans and the sanctity of the world, she held no firm beliefs in the murder of the pathetic or the weak. The kitty and the corpse, she'd so fittingly named them, were both of those adjectives: weak and pathetic. What harm had they caused to delineate them necessary to eliminate? Nothing.

Decidedly finished with whatever internal debacle Anubis had been witness to, the woman turned so that she could watch the pair of targets in her periphery. They were entirely docile if she was being honest, really only worrisome if they began to acknowledge Alexander and Anubis' presence. Let's face it â€" the Hunter and Huntress were cloaked in darkness and were mixed into the shadows so effectively that the pair of targets wouldn't notice. This allowed Anubis to focus some attention to the stately man she'd found herself in the lingering company of.

It struck the woman that he was mildly perturbed by her presence. Rather than take insult at the way his hand visibly tightened on his weapon, Anubis exhaled any kind of exasperation she might have felt. Men were such pathetic creatures, prone to emotional instability over the slightest of things. Was her presence threatening enough to his masculinity that he might need exert testosterone to prove his worthiness? With a wry smile, the thoughts of duels and primitive times floated through one side of her mind and out the other without duress. Gone were the times when men would defend a woman's honor â€" now, they chose to parade in the antagonism of honor. Their peacock tails fluffed to their full extent, wouldn't they. Anubis felt bile of distaste rise in her throat briefly, before the man's subsequent words quelled any sense of aversion.

"Rather literally until moments ago," Anubis agreed, a blossoming smile touching her exquisite features. Comradery felt rare â€" rarer than an individual who may have actually had a taste of the life and world the woman was from. Was it applicable to say that this man may have an idea of the life Anubis had led before the collapse? There was a chance he may sympathize with the innate way she felt the world now was significantly less than it once was with its moral ruin and pathetic inhabitants.

"You haven't always been the supernatural crusader then, have you?" Anubis' voice gently inquired, one of her immaculately groomed eyebrows arching farther than it already was naturally. In another life, yes. Perhaps it was possible they'd run across one another before purpose dampened their existences.
