South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

It is lucky, for Samantha, that the faerie prince in front of her is so preoccupied with the uses of the mysterious tap and stove that he didn't kick her the second time she moved to clean the wounds on his feet. Later, she'd do her best to explain everything that he was seeing, though for now she was content to be silent as she worked bandages around his feet. When she's satisfied, she leaned back, giving him a warm smile as she looks up at him. "We'll find you some shoes. I'm sure I can get some for you easily. You'll need them if you decide to wander outside of the apartment. The city streets aren't kind to bare feet, as you can see." She's unaware of his gaze that examines her. After all, she hardly gives two hoots about what the faerie prince thinks of her, instead interested in getting up to get the kettle that had began to make soft hooting noises on the stove.

"Indeed," Samantha replied, turning to smile at him as she works to make the two steaming mugs of tea. "Except it's indoors and we can control it with the pipes. Like the tap. We use it to get clean instead of baths. I'll show you later, I promise."

The young faerie moves easily, going to set the steaming mug in front of him. Tea, to Samantha, is fairly universal, and she's surprised to see that the man instinctively rejects the liquid that is placed before him. For a moment, Samantha merely watches him as he examines the sugar bowl in front of him, then the tea, then back at the girl.

"No," She chuckles, shaking her head. "I'm not sick. Around here, tea is just a treat you have when you've had a particularly hard day. Which, given everything, I think you qualify." She reaches out, taking the sugar to place into her own mug. Stirring it, she watches him once again as he eyes her. "Let me, Dori," She says gently, the nickname slipping from her lips affectionately. She moves his cup to her, stirring in the amount of sugar she prefers before she pushes it back. "Try that. You'll love it. Be careful though, it's hot."

Samantha lifts her own mug to her lips, taking a drink as she listens to him. Decidedly, she places the mug back on the table and looks him directly in the eye. "You're welcome to stay here as long as you need," She offers kindly, having already decided that the wayward fae would likely be killed if left alone in the city. "And, Italy..."

She gets up suddenly, going over to the cardboard boxes that contain her things. After digging through it for a moment, she returns with a history book, going to place it in front of him. She leans over his shoulder as she flips through the pages, pulling up a world map. "Italy is here," She points to the boot shaped country, leaning in over him a little more to examine it. "Naples is here, to be exact. We are..." She drags her nail across the ocean, pointing to Sacrosanct on the map. "We're here. In America. I'm afraid you can't walk to Italy from here."

She steps back, letting him absorb the information as she once again takes her seat across from him. She watches the vulnerable boy seem to shine through, his fearful emotions plaguing her. Wrapping her hands around the mug, she leans forward to listen to the tale of how exactly he ended up in her city. It seemed that, as she'd predicted, he truly was an old faerie, one that didn't know exactly how the world had changed yet. The prize of an ancient faerie had to be promising for the Dark Hunters, though that hardly explained why they had carted him here instead of killing him immediately. Perhaps they wanted a trophy?

"Hunters have powers too," She explained very gently. "And Weres. I have a power, as I suspect you do as well." She didn't bother elaborating â€" it would be a topic for another time â€" merely falling silent as he finished his story. There was a pang of sadness that plagued at her stomach, accompanied by a fierce desire to protect the faerie boy that she'd stumbled upon.

"You're safe now, though," Samantha said gently, reaching out to put a hand on top of his arm. It was a soft gesture, and one that she pulled away from after only a moment. "It's not going to be safe for you to return home for awhile, but you can have a home here. I..." She looked around the room. "I don't have much, I'm afraid. But I can get some more blankets and we can make a bed for you. And we'll get you clothes. I have friends..." Her thoughts immediately flashed to Aiden and to Raven, likely the people who would help her the most in this situation. "Friends that will help protect you and get us things. And we'll teach you how things work. Like the stove," She flashed him a playful smile. "Though it would probably be in your best interest if you don't touch that without me, okay?"
