South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kato Buhari

If Lana was perturbed by Edie's unknowing comment about Kato not being finished with her, she didn't show it. She didn't hate the English girl her song had brought back but had serious doubts about her. Sophia hadn't been from Africa but she had quickly adopted their culture and played with the children since day one of her family moving there. The older woman's lips pursed as Edie spoke, putting her foot down on the matters brought up. "I'm one of the elders here but we don't have ranks here. You'll find your Beta title holds no meaning for the people in the herd. We all have a voice. I guide them, offer the wisdom through the many moons I've seen, but we all vote on decisions that affect us." It was more of a democracy in their herd than one perhaps realized. Lana offered her knowledge along with several elders when a matter came up but it was a discussion held at large in the square. All of which would perhaps be a new concept for Edie.

It was no secret by the expressions that flickered across her features she Lana wasn't exactly pleased by Edie's words. However, she offered no outburst towards it. Edie's previous demure behavior had been an odd thing for the herd to observe compared to their own head-strong women. Lana had truly thought that it was an improper fit for her son to match with someone so...weak. At least Edie was proving her assumptions wrong. It didn't meant Lana had to like it. "He may like you as you are...but he'd be happier if you learned our ways...his ways." With that she turned on her heels and swept out of the hut. On the way down the path Kato was returning with a stone dish in his hand. "Mme?" He raised a brow at the look on his mother's face, pausing in his tracks at the string of foreign language that readily poured from her. It was short lived as Lana continued on down the path leaving Kato doing a double take in confusion before returning to the hut.

Kato's smoky gaze regarded Edie lightly with a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You know how to leave an impression. I thought you fell back asleep when you didn't come to the square." He offered her the stone dish that was the same chapatti bread but with a cornmeal pudding this time. "You ok?" It wasn't hard for Kato to note the rather flustered flush to Edie's cheeks that came from confrontation. He was very familiar with that indeed. Once Edie had eaten he took the bowl from her and set it aside before taking hold of her hand and leading her from the hut. "Meave has been waiting." He explained softly as they entered the square where Meave had four other girls about her age were. Meave flung into the same native tongue, obviously scolding Kato by the tone though for what reason was unknown and only brought a chuckle of retort from Kato. He dug into his pocket to shove a few coins into his sisters' hand before they turned their attention to Edie.

Meave smiled broadly at Edie, "Dumêla mma!...That means good morning." She absently tucked the coins Kato had handed her into the folds of the fabric wrapped around her in traditional dress. Meave happily linked her arm with Edie's and pulled her from Kato to leave for their trek to the market. They hardly got a few feet from the edge of the village before Kato hurried up behind them and grabbed Edie's arm and pulled her back around to face him. Kato wore a smirk on his face as he gently hooked a finger beneath Edie's chin to lift her face up to his, placing a loving kiss to her lips, "Almost forgot." He breathed softly before slowly releasing her. Meave huffed though, "Tsamaya!" She flung her arms to shoo Kato back away, once more earning a hearty laugh from her older brother as he stepped back with a wink to Edie. "Now...where were we." Meave rounded on Edie and once more looped her arm with the Englishwoman and returned to leading her across the savannah as the other girls talked animatedly in their native tongue a few paces ahead of them. "Oh yes, first things first we need to get you some clothes. You're going to burn if you continue to wear what you have."
