West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

((OOC: Jail, who plays Raven, has a pretty high work load so she gave me the go-ahead to write Raven out of this post, so it'll be just you and me! - Rena))

A smile is brought to the young empath's features at the way Ivy seems to settle in front of her, no longer something to be feared in the girl. Samantha's own fear of faeries brought her nothing but anxiety, and it was clear that the traumatic experience of being changed had provided the same sensation in the girl that sat in front of her. That someone could be afraid of Samantha, however, was a difficult feeling for the girl. She would never hurt another faerie â€" never hurt anyone, she'd like to say. She is glad when Ivy's tense position relaxes in front of her, her own shoulders relaxing as the other woman's emotions settle down. It is easy to read Ivy's emotions, though she doesn't convey that to the girl. Faeries, she'd learned, had shinier emotions than Weres, and they were by far the easiest to pick out. Unfortunately for her, it was overwhelming in the burlesque.

Samantha's own confidence seemed to burst at the idea of keeping Ivy safe, of keeping Dorian safe. The wayward faerie that she'd brought into her own home recently was someone she'd grown fond of â€" it didn't help that it was amusing to watch him try to flounder with 21st century appliances â€" and though she'd originally considered their living arrangement temporary, it was becoming clear he'd need her longer than that. And Ivy. Ivy was so young. It reminded Samantha of herself, really, faltering around and trying to figure out what it meant to be a faerie. If Samantha could teach her... if they could learn together... Why shouldn't she help? The role that was blossoming in her mind seemed terrifying, and yet...

And yet Samantha felt ready for it. Felt capable, even. Wasn't that what Nadya had said to her? That she was resilient? That that was an asset? There was no reason she couldn't be more, no reason she couldn't take on the monarchy role and keep the faeries she cared about safe. And... Briefly her mind flashed to Frost's words. That the faeries who changed her might still want her. If she could keep herself safe from that, why shouldn't she?

A grin appeared on the empath's features at the girl's mention she should meet more faeries, and she couldn't help but nod in agreement. "You'll love Dorian, really. He's spent the last five hundred years in his castle in Naples, so he kind of thinks that everything works the way that it did in the 1400s. It's incredibly amusing. He still refers to light bulbs as my ceiling candles." She flashed a playful smile at her. "We're working on it. Well, kind of. Part of me thinks it's really funny." The more playful side of the faerie girl is evident, her amusement at her roommate possibly the thing that had kept her from killing him in his sleep. After all, he did chuck a sword into her wall in fear of a moth. If she couldn't tease him, it would be a difficult living situation. "He also doesn't understand sarcasm, at all."

Her teasing fades a bit as she speaks of the monarchy, a flutter of genuine nervousness in her stomach at the idea. Even as she speaks, she's positive that the idea will fail, that Ivy would reject her. But she's even more surprised when after a moment of consideration, that determined nod sets in the faerie girl in front of her. A surprised smile appeared on Samantha's features at the woman's words, and she nodded herself in agreement. "Of course I'll have you."

Her gaze flickered to the woman at her side, who had mentioned something about going to see a Sera, and immediately Samantha nodded her approval. "Of course, I'm sorry for holding you up, Raven. Thank you for staying with me." The wolf merely nodded to her before the girl was wolf once more, striding out of the Ark easily. At that, Samantha's gaze turned back to the faerie in front of her. "So what do you say, want to go meet Dorian?"
