West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

If there was any surprise to the fae girl regarding the man's distain for water, she did not show it. She'd seen Aiden a few occasions, him flustered and annoyed and muttering something about 'shower day' and 'Tobi'. She had yet to put two and two together, but now that she'd met the leopard, it was an obvious response. The male clearly was a different one. The waves of dirty hair that fell from his head â€" far too long to be practical â€" and the general disheveled look to him was enough to put two and two together. And yet, Samantha hardly found that she disliked the creature in front of her. In truth, she doubted she could have disliked him if she wanted to. There was something about those Aiden kept near and dear to him that were charming, the girl slowly beginning to like them as though they could become her own family. It was a silly notion, she was sure, though one that she welcomed readily.

The girl was hardly given long to consider the notion, the very emotion in the room switching from the distain of the water and soap to the utter delight at the drop of a pin. It was such a small thing, though one that made her feel remarkably uncomfortable. Going from the harsh gaze that he gave her to the delighted playfulness was unsettling for the empath. That his emotions were so easily changed felt unpredictable, and the girl had no idea how to protect herself from this. Luckily, he seemed distracted by his own trick â€" a trick that amazed her, really. In an instant, he'd had a grasp on her newfound power and she still had absolutely no idea how to even remotely begin to use it. She wanted to question him about it, to have him teach her, but it seemed pointless. Not when he merely tilted his head, implying that he was the most powerful.

"I don't doubt it," The fae girl replied, a smile on her features that lasted until the moment he questioned what exactly had been happening in the bed of the Were King and the fae girl. A blush seemed to immediately work its way onto her cheeks as she leapt to her feet. She was flustered, both by his question and the fact that he had laughed at her blush. It was only when she was occupied with changing did she acknowledge the question that had been asked of her. Did Aiden say nice things to her? Of course he did. He made her feel special, made her happy. There was something so delightfully innocent about the question, and the woman couldn't help but enjoy thinking about it. "Yes," She said finally as she pulled the shirt over her head, turning to face the man. "Aiden says a lot of very, very nice things to me. He's very kind. I can see why you like him." The girl smiled at him, offering him a question in return. "If you have to say nice things to girls, I bet you say nice things to Raven, yeah?"

Still, the girl remained happy to switch the conversation from her relationship to that of the odd toys that lined the floor in the disturbing manner. There was something about their little painted eyes that made her skin crawl, and truthfully she had no intention of touching them, even without his warning. "I won't, I promise," She murmured, watching as he moved down to rearrange the animal that had apparently moved out of place. There was something so odd about the grown man that moved to play with the toys, though the faerie girl showed no indication of that on her features. No, her features were arranged in nothing but kindness.

"Protecting?" She asked finally, tilting her head to the side in much the same manner that he had done. "You were protecting what, exactly? Me?" The girl was hardly given a chance to consider the matter at hand before one of the horses is placed into her palms. She turned it in her hands, examining the toy. It seemed ordinary, something you'd find at a toy store, if not a little bit heavier than most toys. The faerie girl remained surprised when he stood, telling her that she was doing it wrong. "Wrong? How do you pla..." She is cut off by the man stepping close to her, abruptly ripping the head from the animal. The sudden appearance of the knife causing an audible gasp to escape her lips.

"I can... see that..." She paused, biting her lip at the thought of the animals that lined around her. With his flickering emotions, it was nearly impossible to really tell if he was protecting her or if he would harm her, though she preferred to think he wouldn't hurt her. It was a sweet sentiment, she supposed, though she wished the toys weren't all... staring at her. Still, the girl looked up at the question that he asked of her, gazing more at the waves of dark hair than his actual face. "Charles? Sure, of course. But first..." She held up a finger, smiling as though she was interacting with a child before she reached up into her own hair, pulling a bobby pin out of her blonde waves. "Let me help you. I don't know how you see with all that hair, Tobi." She moved forward easily, letting out a small shushing noise to calm him as she gently touched his hair, moving it out of his face and pinning it back with the bobby pin in one swift motion.
