West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

We were chasing the thunder inside the storm;

Raven had claimed she was going to be satisfactory and Mira wouldn't dare argue with the woman, she knew better and have seen far, far worse. Despite what the scarred woman's motives were, Mira knew how to handle herself. From years of abuse, a survivor has been etched and shaped out of her. She would fight if need be, she would be diplomatic. She knew how to dance that fine line that could have very well get her killed and yet here she was, a spitting image of strength and bravery. She nods her head, those intelligent eyes absorbing the scene of the male, Raven's mate Tobi, entering the quiet scene. He was a wild card and it made her on edge, after all, she was injured and the leopard had a giant question mark on his head. Perhaps the fact that he was Raven's mate should have but her mind at ease, but there was something about the way he looked at her, the way his emotions shifted so quickly that made her very senses heightened. When the man, suddenly overtook the feline, that stifling domineering impression receded slightly. It was for the better, she did not like her space being invaded by such a dominant force, if it were not for Raven keeping that calm she may have snapped. She was no tamed animal the harder they pushed the rougher she became.

Yet, there was something different about this Tobias, oddly innocent and yet still unreadable. He was a difficult man to read while Raven was entirely opposite. She seemed calm and nurturing, her nature appeared to soothe the man who brought up the hunters. "Yes, I killed him. He set traps within the woods that were laced with poison. He didn't care who he killed or what torment he caused them. Men like that do not deserve to be hunters." Blindly violent men didn't deserve to live. Those ominous whites of her teeth glinted as her maw formed into an expression of distaste, her golden eyes glowing softly. She would not regret her choice, nor pity the man that only wanted to make their kind suffer for whatever personal reasons that blinded him with such undiluted hatred. At least no one else would be a victim, perhaps even one of their own. At least until the next one. She noticed she lost Tobias along the way, his attention fixated upon the hole in his jeans than anything else.

Raven was gentle and quick the way she worked and Mira hardly felt any more pain than necessary, she could tell it wasn't her first time cleaning and patching wounds. In fact, she could even go as far as wondering if Raven were a nurse or in the medical field. But the thought was abruptly shoved forcefully down when the mention of that dreaded name crept out, as though it were taboo to even utter the very name. Frost. She had heard of him. Tetradore told her the gist but she couldn't help but wonder if he was leaving largely important details out. There was only so much an outsider could absorb. Frost's name, however pulled the were-leopard out of his silent reverie and a volatile hiss escapes him in a very inhuman response that did not quite fit his current form. The tension once again flooded the room, only this time it wasn't directed toward her. Caballo, those words she recognized but the way he said it was as though he dubbed a monster and not a man.

It was sweet, truly, the way Raven silently moved toward her mate to soothe him with her touch. Despite his peculiar nature she could see they truly cared for one another, more than words could simply describe. She seemed to help the man form the words, to organize thoughts that had seemed almost broken and misplaced. It was warming to see despite the current dark undertones that took hold. Tobias continued, speaking about what happened to his Raven. Mira's striking eyes glance toward her direction, her scent altered from emotion she was overtaken by fear and then rage. She remains stoic, sitting upon that medical bed, as she truly heard his words, her ears flickering capturing those words, ignoring the stinging of her wounds.

Mira knew parts of this story, Tetradore told her fragments, just enough and probably more than some. She knew about his sister falling for the horse, she knew about his girlfriend being traumatized by the man. She knew enough to know that Frost was a psychopath and not a man she would ever want to cross paths with. This story only solidified that for her. She pieced together that birdie was a pet name for Raven and understood what he attempted to describe. She was intent to listen, despite the pain it caused. She needed to know this, these harsh details. Sacrosanct was her home now. She would rather know the dark monsters that lurk transparently than be oblivious to them, knowledge is power. Tetradore did not mention anything about a fight and Frost killing him. Surprise and confusion sprouted within her, her head tipping slightly to the right. Surely there must have been some kind of mistake.

But how? Her mind tried to make sense of this but cannot seem to wrap around it. Death was permanent, how could someone come back from death? She allows the man to tell his story uninterrupted and shook her head in disbelief when he finished. "But death is death. How does one come back from that?" Those last words hit home and she knew as innocent as they sounded they were flooded with hatred rather that slight distaste. For a moment Tobias' eyes met her own and on that could agree. Frost was not on her good side and she hadn't even met the man. Raven filled in those blanks to that upsetting story.

Angrily, the she-wolf teeth grind like they could be pulverized into stone dust. Abruptly, vivid images flooded in her head like a movie in tune with her words, the room was simply gone as she relived her horror. It was impactful, like a forceful kick in the gut. She felt for them as these images consumed her and she whined gently. Most importantly she saw Frost's face, as clearly as he stood before her. It was a face she committed to memory as well as that image of his animal form, a brilliant white stallion. She snarled if she could reach out and grab him, but this wasn't real. Raven must be doing this, somehow. Suddenly everything came into perfect clarity, the slow healing, what the other wolf went through, the suffering. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that Frost was not to be trusted. Suddenly the room comes back to her and she finds herself breathing heavier than before, her eyes narrowed and incisors were exposed in that menacing show of fangs. "He is no man, he is a monster and he sure as hell doesn't deserve love." How could Tetradore's sister love a monster? She would never fathom.

A part of Mira wanted to hurt Frost, to inflict that pain he had dealt out to so many, Raven and Tobi's pain only fueled that slow burning fire. If a predator like Tetradore could not bring down a horse, she could not help but doubt her own abilities in beating a match against the horse. Mira watched Raven closely, averting herself from her as if shielding her pain. If any man deserved a death sentence, it was Frost. This Mira was for certain. How many needed to hurt? How many needed to bleed? She remained thoughtful as she sighed. Raven continued, her words were drenched in emotion she could not understand. "I will be damned before I ever trust a man like Frost. I know men like him and he best keep his distance from me if he knows what is best for him." The bleeding anger seeped within her words, their honesty was believable and she trusts it.

Mira, saw Raven stand over the by the mirror, now addressing her own wounds a sadness wafting from her. Both Tobi and Raven were honest with her, the least she could do was let down those defense mechanisms. She shifted from wolf into a woman, her fur melted into smooth skin, her bones snap and relocate into place in that sickening sound almost unheard at how fast the change occurred. Her golden eyes are all that is similar to the obsidian wolf that she one was, except for the silver band of her leg was replaced by a pale scar that refused to heal. She took the blanket that rested on the bed wrapping around her slender form, tucking it in like one would a towel. Barefoot, her feet meet the cool ground, regretting that her clothes were back in that park. "Please, let me help you." She peers in the direction of Tobias. "Has he hurt you too?" She asked thoughtfully, those long legs carrying her toward Raven, her eyes softer, her expression concerned.

"How did you make me see? Tetradore told me some, but I knew there was more.. To see it, I have seen people die from less wounds." Mira emits softly as though it is a morose whisper, hardly able to believe what she had shown her and revealing she knew their Alpha.
