West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Tobias had told her there was a tournament going on for the next few fighting rings. He had entered her in it without even consulting her. The first time she learned about it was only a few nights ago when she was surprised to hear their name being called for the ring. Their first opponents were a lynx and a big horn sheep. It was a good chance for her to learn and see what she was capable of. Taking on the lynx was a bit difficult with those claws, and yet after being around felines for so long she knew which small pinpoints to attack on the creature's body to subdue it. The opponents they had tonight were...well odd. It was a spastic otter and a dysfunctional ocelot. It wasn't surpsing to hear that they won their first round. They were up against a jack rabbit and a hutia. Earlier in the ring she looked over at Jackal, silently questioning him if these were indeed the ones they were supposed to attack. Raven was willing to go easy on them. After all they were smaller than herself and her mate, potential food for their other half, and yet they came into the ring guns blazing attempting to take them out. The otter wanted to come towards her, his nasally voice screaming profanities and threats, causing her to already experience a nasty headache. Annoyed she went on ahead after him. Easily fighting the otter off as he scampered around her paws. It was the ocelot that caused her a bit of irritation as it kept swiping at her face. It wasn't difficult for her attention to focus on the two smaller creatures, Raven attacking at them quickly. The thought of Tobias was entirely lost as she bit into the smaller cat's leg, hurting him, while her grey paw slammed down on the otter's tail to stop him. His bite upon her grey paw caused her to yelp as she returned her focus on him, believing the cat to be done with, as she bit into the otter's side hearing him squeal.

Eventually the fight was over and done with. The lupine was quite pleased with herself as her grey touched plume waved back and forth. Hearing the crowds shout and holler for them was something she was still getting used to. She wasn't used to getting any sort of attention or recognition for being good, at anything really. She was a shy creature and mostly kept to herself. Seeing her mate approach him she nuzzled him gently, giving into that public display of affection, unabashed for expressing her love for the leopard. After all it was well known she belonged to him and no one else. Not to mention that her mere touch was capable of soothing him, which was entirely necessary to do after the excitement in the ring. Happily she exited the ring walking beside her mate while the patrons stepped out of their way, the announcer shouting out the next day and the names of the opponents they would be up against. Blue-grey eyes looked down upon her paw where the otter had bit it. She knew she couldn't heal very well, it was not surprising. What was surprising was how the wound seemed to sting more and white ooze dripped from it. Cleary the otter had cheated, lacing its sharp small teeth with some sort of potion to make his bite...worse. Growing softly in annoyance she was about to follow him only for Jackal to meet them. Her dial would tilt to the side at being called 'Miss Birdie.' The little Mexican man called her by his nickname, Salvaje, a nickname was something the majority of them had in the Ark. With a nod she followed after Jackal towards the nursing station to get checked out. Ever since she learned that he had potions that could instantly fix her, she went to him out of sight, wanting to appear 'normal' and undamaged.

No one needed to know she couldn't heal properly or efficiently. Hoping up on the bed she allowed herself to change back to her human form, holding out her hand. She couldn't help, but giggle as her mate ruffled Jackal. Curiosity indeed killed the cat. It wasn't surprising to see the deviant stick his nose and paw in things he shouldn't. After he hissed at the poor Mexican man, she shook her head with a small simper, silently asking him to stop causing trouble. Of course he wouldn't listen to her, the boy was far too mischievous. As Jackal began to clean her injured hand her eyes looked over to Tobias, giving him another silent shake of her head, asking him to stop. Sadly to no avail, she watched as he continued to play with the potions. When Jackal handed her a potion she accepted it, trusting him completely. Opening the tab she downed the contents easily, scrunching her nose in the aftermath, finding the taste disagreeable. As Jackal got up to leave she looked over at her mate making room for him to come up. With a grin she shook her head, gently pushing his dark hair out of his eyes, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead murmuring softly.

"No Tobi, I think it will be fine. Thank you for getting that Ocelot."

Her adrenaline was still pumping through her veins. She was quite attracted to her healthy mate. Demonstrating his prowess in the ring was quite the turn on, not just for herself, but for her animalistic half. It wasn't surprising. After all their kind look for the healthiest, the strongest, and the smartest for a mate, and she found hers. Easily she kissed his cheek and then his lips, her good hand sliding over around his neck shifting her body towards him. There was a hazy feeling in her mind, the woman not realizing that Jackal may have given her the right potion to heal, but there was something else in the potion that was changing her. Her bad hand was healing nicely and she placed it on his chest, a signal to stop. Her mind continued to haze over as she spoke up her voice wavering, her hands now going to her head, clutching it as if she were in pain.

"Tobi, something is wrong...I..."

There was nothing else to say. Her eyes widened for a moment staring straight ahead. Her bright blue-grey eyes suddenly darkened. Looking around her vision blurred for a moment and then suddenly everything was clear. Looking out with a dazed look she slipped off the bed, her moments not fluid, rather it was unrecognizable. Without a word she opened the door heading out and leaving Tobias. Her movements were sharper, quicker. The loud noise from the patrons was not pleasing. She heard a rumble and she growled softly back, confused as to where she was hearing it. Hearing the growling noise she looked down, hearing it better, and noticing it was coming from...her. Her stomach was growling. It growled, because she needed food. Looking up she saw a male and a female eating something that smelled good. It was a steak. Hurriedly she rushed over shoving the girl to the ground, jumping and crouching over the table, as her hand reached out and grabbed the half eaten steak, digging into it feverishly. As the male shouted at her, she lifted her head, her teeth barred in a menacing manner, snarling at him as her voice was broken and garbled.

"Mine...all miiiiiiinnnneeee."

Well, Tobias had surely fucked up this time.
