West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Thunderstorms were her absolute favorite, it was the first time she felt happy and cared for, but it was also the first time she was introduced to her cage. Whether it was soft light drizzle, or a heavy pour, the rain was always welcomed. The rain brought with it a sense of cleansing for the girl. At times when she was banished to the cage the falling water brought her relief, allowing the lupine to wash herself or drink whatever amount landed in her bowl. Of course there were times when she was out there and the water left her cold, chilled to the bone. But the first time she felt the rain, was when it fell quickly, cleaning her bloodied coat as her own blood pooled at the bottom of the cage. The soft murmur or roar of thunder brought a sense of solace to the young woman. Thunder to her was like music, the tones and pitches changed, and the rhythm was either steady or chaotic. When she was a pup the first night she was forced to be within that cage, she remembered seeing the other pups within her pack circling her. They jeered, taunted, and growled at her. Afraid and threatened she attempted to growl back, but it sounded pathetic. It was only when she growled at the same time the thunder roared, causing the ground to tremble, it made all the other pups within her pack run away in fright. Lightning storms was always her favorite when storms came by. It was amazing to see the flash of gold streak across the dark sky, going in different directions. There were times when she would see it the gold replaced with a more purple hue. Left alone within her cage those dangerous bolts brought a sense of entertainment to the girl, looking up in the sky in wonder as the lightning flashed. At times the cold winds would rip and tear through her thick fur, or gently caress her lovingly. Storms brought her comfort and gave her a sense of security, it was what she felt that very first night when she was alone and trapped.

Waking up from her nightmare Raven laid within that hammock, looking up at the ceiling, as she attempted to block out those terrible images that constantly began to flash before her. It all seemed far too real, like she was actually there. With a heavy sigh she brought her hand to her face, moving it upwards through the top of her head in an exhausted manner. Her dial would tilt to see the window, noticing the lightning flash, unable to figure out if it was morning or still night. It was very noticeable that her mate was not beside her. Upset and troubled she turned around, looking for him, pondering if she needed to get out or not, if he would even want her around. Finding her mate settled on top of the bed they sometimes used, was a bit disheartening. Blue-grey eyes narrowed as she attempted to make out what it was he was doing. He seemed quite content just lying there. That he wanted to simply draw was not necessarily surprising. After all the boy did do childish things and drawing wasn't necessary a bad thing. Actually she was always happy to see him doing something quiet, finding it peculiar and good at the same time. There were times when they were simply close together with her nose stuck in a book and his eyes entirely focused on his artwork. Always she praised him when he showed her whatever it was he was attempting to draw, providing him those encouraging words to further build up his confidence. Worriedly she remained lying there within the hammock, nervous to know what she had done wrong to deserve his poor treatment yesterday. That frustrated groan caused her to flinch, noticing his hand ball up tightly made it worse, but when saw a flare of gold in his eyes she went still. What was going on with them? His response that he felt wavy, was met with a pure perplexed look. What he could possibly mean, Raven had no clue. As if his motion of making a wave motion would make it better, no, it made it worse. But before she could even ask what he meant, he commanded her to come to his side.

A sigh of relief was given, pleased to know that he was not angry at her, bit annoyed that he had caused her to go through that emotional ordeal of being afraid. As she climbed out of the hammock, she wrapped the blanket around her, as she headed towards his direction. The way he held onto the book as if she would steal it from him, was not usual. He was territorial of his things, but he knew she would never take something of his...right? Sitting beside her mate she wrapped the blanket around him, to keep him warm as the AC kicked on. She would clasp her hands within her lap she looked over to him with a tentative simper. That the book he held was a present for her was... greatly unexpected. The necklace that she always wore, which remained around her neck, was the very first present he had bestowed upon her. Why he was giving her a book, she had no idea, but she did notice the locked latches and the old worn leather covering. Gently she took the book from him setting it down in her lap, nimble fingers unlatching the old heavy locks, as she opened the cover. Seeing him reach for the first page, she watched as she noticed the oddly drawn cat with black spots, a grin appearing. Blue-grey eyes would look up at him, her grin small, speaking lightly.

"I remember this. You were in the net with the fish and I warned you, that you would fall into the water and you did. You didn't like me that night. You gave me a pile of nets to sleep in, you said that was my bed. The nets I slept on, I used to make our hammock in that warehouse, and some are even tied in that one.

Her hand would lift upwards to point at the hammock they shared together. Underneath those blankets there were some of the nets woven into the piece. The woman wanting to keep the nets for sentimental value. It was the first time anyone had given her anything that was meant for her, and her alone. The next image of the field was a bit perplexing. There were many times they had played within the field at night, like once when he brought a football and she met Nadya and Tetradore, and other Weres for the full moon. Other times they hunted or played games. Her fingers would gently trace over the wolf that he had made within the stars quite impressed he had done such a thing. The next page that held a thick swirling grey color was something she hadn't recalled, they never did experience being stuck in smoke before. That he meant they were together in the rain now made that image clear. Another grin appeared as she chuckled softly, kissing the side of his cheek. The memory of that day came flooding back. He had given her the fruit date and then took her outside in the rain, even though he hated the rain, and claimed that they were going 'out on a date.' It was funny then, clever word play, and it was funny now â€" but charming still.

"That was my first date, I never been on one before."

Raven had no idea why the boy beside her was drawing different events of their time together. As he turned the page to reveal the first Christmas they had together, her hand would reach out for the necklace she wore. He had given her that necklace within the snow in the fields. Proclaiming that the leopard she wore would keep her safe, when he wasn't at her side. Always she wore it the girl putting so much faith and believing he was there should she wear it. The image of her in the rings was quite detailed. As she ran her finger gently over the drawing, she noticed how he caught onto her peculiar markings. No one had ever said anything about those unusual markings before, probably because everyone focused on her scars instead. Raven remembered how Jackal tricked them and trapped them within the ring, forcing her to fight when she didn't want to. They won, thankfully, and even now each time they fought in the ring she would grow a little bit more confident in herself. The last thing she wanted was to bring him any disappointment. As he took began to trace the wolf she listened intently to his whisper. Why he would say he always remembered her was well, it didn't make sense. She would hope he would always remember who she was, and what she was to him. She would lean into his side, wanting to be close, as one hand came over to brush some of that dark hair out of his eyes, blue-grey eyes looking into those dark pools. A bright smile appeared as the lightning flickered and the rain continued to fall in a slow steady rhythm with the thunder purring.

"Tobi, you are drawing events that occurred with us, these are beautiful. But, I noticed my image is always clear, and everything else is blurry. Why did you do that?"

Her inquiry was stated gently, innocently looking at him, having no idea what he was attempting to show her, when the words he would say, to honestly tell her he sees her, would fall upon deaf ears.
