West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She was sure in his own way, Azrael was just trying to help with all the probing questions but she wasnt one to hand out trusts so easily and even if she could trust Azrael to have her back in a fight, that didnt mean she would trust him with personal things. And Viktor was definitely making this personal. She didnt want to put anyone else in danger either. If Azrael targeted Viktor too, it would only be a matter of time before he would go after anyone Azrael cares about. That was his go-to. He wouldn't go after the person in question. He liked to cut deep and twist the knife. Family, friends, lovers; no one was safe.

She warned Azrael about one of the Hunters weaknesses but right as she finished speaking, she flew in a wall. Even fighting the black spots in her vision, she could hear Azrael's sarcastic tone saying the Hunter used it. If she wasnt trying to get back to her feet, she would have let him have it. In her own petty way though, the other Hunter did the work for her by cutting him with his spear. It wasnt a serious injury, just enough to irritate Azrael, if the murderous look in his eyes was anything to go by. He looked ready for anything thogh, practically bouncing on his feet as good as any boxer. But instead of fighting, he decided to warn the man, like that was going to do any good. If the guy was already throwing weapons and trying to melt her body into the ground, what made him think the Hunter would stop just cause he was threatened? Men and their egos. Kat shook her head.

Azrael turned on her and she crossed her arms, raising her brow at him like she was listening to a child throwing a tantrum. She laughed. "Saving my ass? I was inconvenienced, not dying. I'm pretty sure stabbing the guy twice gets ranked above helping me off the ground." She smirked, totally knowing he would be further aggravated. He always seemed to fight better when he was angry. She watched as he used his light power on the shield instead of his gravity and the shield promptly vanished as the man yelped and threw up his hand to shield himself from the light. Of course Azrael couldnt just take his small victory humbly. He had to turn to her to brag about it. She snorted and rolled her eyes. "Oh Whoopie, you blinded the guy for ten seconds. Hold on so I can bow and praise your graces." Shen then turned to manipulate the metal in those blades embedded in his neck, twisting them in deeper so she could demand answers.

Azrael's input of information concerning Kohl threw her off guard though and she almost lost her hold on those blades. Damn him for bringing up a sore subject. She noticed Azrael was helping hold the man down but shed never show gratitude out loud, not for his benefit. She was almost surprised that he told the man not to lie, almost expecting him to keep messing with her instead. The man was silent, his lips pressed together in a thin stubborn line. She was sure Viktor had him scared to reveal any information. He was good at bringing up fear in all his subjects. Instead she found herself distracted as Azrael bought up Kohl, though she wasn sure how much he would know. She loved Kohl more than anything. The distance only proved that further for her. She hated being away from him. Azrael's next words had her inhaling sharply. What the hell Kohl?! She wanted to march up to him and berate him like his life depended on it, cause it did. Apparently he thought he might get answers from her mission log but he would be sorely mistaken. She didnt joint the Council and start doing official missions till after she left Viktor's care. Viktor only believed in using Hunters for his own personal vendettas. Greedy man, Viktor.

She tried to compose herself before turning her gaze back to Azrael and shaking his head. "No, i told him to stay out of it. I...left him to keep him safe." She hesitated on admitting that last part cause she knew her emotions would betray her and show in her eyes so she took a deep breath and looked back at the other Hunter who decided to add his own two cents in. "Oh, you mean lover boy? Boss has had his place staked out for weeks, waiting to make a move. He sad he wanted it to be poetic, to really draw you in when you see the mess he made." Her eyes narrowed on him, air hissing through her teeth. Of course he did. Viktor would put Kohl through hell just to get to her. But he hadn't done anything yet. So either Kohl was being smart or Viktor was waiting on something. But what? She twisted the knife again just to make the guy scream. She turned to Azrael, barely able to mask the anxiety in her voice. "You need to get the Council to protect him. Viktor cant get to him or it'll be world war 3." She turned back to the Hunter. "Do you want to be a vegetable? Talk."

The man actually laughed at her. "Even in a wheelchair, id still be living and i know how your lovely Council feels about killing other Hunters, even crooked ones. Viktor would do much worse so do yours, pretty. I'm not talking." He sneered at her and she frowned, turning to Azrael. "Any ideas?" She said low so the other Hunter wouldn't overhear.
