West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

sharp objects make me giddy

He doesn't seem as amused by my comment on ordering a new car online. Is that not something you can do? And here I was thinking you could do anything on a computer. If anyone could do it, I know Kohl could. He's the tech genius here. I know he's always disappointed in my lack of, well, anything. He's tried multiple times to get me to go out shopping with him. He finally got me in a store once but it was more for the experience than actually wanting to buy anything, I think. I did enjoy the show he put on for the snobby girl who helped us though. That was rather entertaining.

I know Kohl has his power of attraction and he uses it to the full extent. The only thing that bothers me is knowing I may not be the only one he uses it on. Okay, so I get jealous, not that I'd ever actually show it to him. It just makes me want to go out and kill things more often. Of course, that's never been Kohl's thing. He doesn't like hunting. I'm rather inclined to think he hates it. But I won't give up. One way or another, I'm going to make it through his thick skull. I want to know he can survive if anything happens. The thought of losing him...it just doesn't set right with me.

I see him looking at the sidewalk and I know it must be bothering him. I raise a brow in amusement, the only hint that I know exactly what's going on. Instead he tries to focus on me and I can't say I don't appreciate the attention. At least he doesn't seem too offended by the fact that I'm smirking at him. I laugh lightly at his comment about helping me change clothes.

"Oh, I'm sure you'd like that. I may just have to take another shower at your place."

My eyes glow teasingly, a memory of the night that changed everything. That's how it all started, after all. I came back to his place hurt and halfway dead and he nursed me the best way he could and I took a shower and things just went from there. He chuckles, apparently very amused with his own thoughts which I'm sure mostly revolve around me right now and I'm okay with that. I move forward, patting at his cheek with my hand. He seems to come back from his thoughts before he grabs my wrist suddenly. I guess I should have seen that coming but around Kohl, most of my guards seem to drop, including my powers. He pulls me against him suddenly and my body seems to meld to his so easily. I hate that about him. He holds me against him for a few minutes, not saying anything, just content. Suddenly his lips are at my neck though and I gasp despite myself. I bite my lip.

"Maybe you just think you do."

I manage to spit out between sharp breaths. I can feel his lips smiling against my skin. My body is on fire right now but when I bring up car jacking, his mood changes. He glances toward his car and I actually get the choice to smirk in amusement. He leans back against it and I finally get a little space to catch my breath. I move toward the alley and he watches me go until I move my hips just right, then I know he's beside me without even looking. I smirk despite myself. I snort softly.

"Date? I didn't get that memo. Last time I checked, this was a learning expedition."

I raise a brow in challenge. We walk in silence for a few minutes but suddenly he stumbles into me.

"What the fuck, Kohl?"

I call out in exasperation as I stumble myself and turn to face him. He seems to be watching the floor. I sigh in frustration, about to walk again but suddenly his arm is out blocking me. I turn to him wiht a scowl, about to scold him for trying to control me but then he says some mumbo jumbo about bugs and I tilt my head in cofnusion.

"What?"

That's when I smell it...a were. My head snaps around, eyes pinpointing the wolf in seconds. I step in front of Kohl instinctively, one hand already on the blade at my hip. I meet the wolf's gaze evenly, watching its lips curl back. My stance widens, ready for action as I whisper back to Kohl.

"No sudden movements."

Sensing sudden movement elsewhere, I look upward just in time to see a large metal...something falling straight toward Kohl. My eyes widen and my feet are in movement before the words even leave my mouth.

"Kohl, look out!"

I launch myself at him, crashing against him as we both collide with the wall of the warehouse as the anchor hits the ground with a long clang. My body is as close against him as I can possibly get, my heart hammering in my chest as I cling to him, my breath coming in shallow gasps as I check his body in a panic.

"Are you okay? Did you get hurt?"

That's when I remember that we're not alone. My eyes narrow into slits as I look up at the boy sitting there.

"You fight like a pussy. Want to get declawed tonight? I hear it's a growing trend."

I hiss through my teeth as I launch to my feet, leaving Kohl against the wall where hopefully he'll stay for now. I pull two blades out, one in each hand and stand at the ready in the middle of the alleyway, gaze moving from one were to the other, daring either to make a move in our direction. They risked Kohl's life. Now I'm fucking pissed.
