East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

There was much about this interaction Dorian failed to understand, the relationships of the individuals before him so entirely baffling that truly the Fae man had near given up attempting to perceive their connection to one another. Samantha, for her part, seemed to know each of them. Nadya holding some sort of affection perhaps for the man with the unusual hair. Truly Dorian has never seen such locks as those before, Frost a near novelty the Fae King he found his gaze drawn to over and over before his attention moved from the courting couple (neither of them excelling in his opinion) and towards the woman that had accompanied the one Samantha referred to as Frost. Surely that could not be the mans real name! It was barely a name at that. Edie's appearance however, seemed to draw his attention and thus his thoughts away from considering the multitude of social ineptness occurring around him. He had surely not forgotten this woman, nor the manner in which she had assaulted him in several ways within the garden. It is merely fortunate perhaps, she seems so enveloped within the frosted-hair man as well, leaving Dorian a moment to allow his silver gaze to linger upon this apparent mayor. A position he still did not understand and yet one that seemed to terrify Samantha all the same.

"I am doubtful, Samantha, that mayor outranks Queen. It is he whom should grow nervous in your presence. Not the other way around."

His words are soft, gentle, seeking to encourage the girl- Dorian finding himself near protective of her within the steadily growing crowd. It was a world he understood, a gathering he was comfortable in and yet her own nervousness was near palpable to him, Dorian merely remaining beside her before she bid he wait where he was, the man reluctantly allowing her to go as his own arms simply move to fold behind his back. His attention however, remains upon the small gathering before him, Samantha seeming troubled perhaps by Frost, Nadya too seeming unusual in his presence while Edie merely looked distinctly scorned. Ah, unrequited affection perhaps. Some things have not changed in all these years. Indeed, were he inclined to like the woman he may have even offered to accompany her instead and yet they had hardly left their last encounter on good terms and as such the King finds himself ill inclined to spend any time with her- attention held firmly upon Samantha. Edie however, seemed to possess different ideas.

"Do you mind?! Unhand me this instant!"

The words are barely free of his lips before the woman manages to drag him into the crowd, Dorian's shock at being touched without his permission overcome only by the woman's finger lifting to his lips in an effort to silence him. Had she no decorum! It is her words however, that seem to silence him, features frowning slightly as the silver of his gaze moves from Edie to Frost and back again. For all that he is, he is hardly foolish. This woman had fooled him once before and he was loath to trust her a second time, Dorian poorly inclined to forgive those whom had acted against him. If the warning she brought for Samantha was true then it would pay to make Samantha aware of it, if she was merely seeking to fool him again then Dorian has little desire to fall victim to her trap, much less to afford her any information upon the woman he had sworn to protect.

"If you desire information upon her then I make the suggestion you ask your Master."

He gestures briefly towards Frost, gaze narrowed once more upon her. What relation was she to this man she seemed annoyed with and yet bound to obey? A servant of some kind? What was an Alpha?

"I have no reason to believe anything you tell me. You made it clear upon our last meeting your loathing for my species."

Her words were surely false. Samantha had mentioned this Frost before, spoken of him as if he were some sort of acquaintance or friend, why would he seek to harm her? Surely the woman toys with him again, his gaze searching for Samantha once more.

"Why should I believe your words?"
