East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

There was something altogether pleasing with the way Dorian's silver gaze abruptly turned upwards at the sound of Sebastian's name. In that moment, Sebastian knew well he held the entirety of Dorian's attention and he relished in those few lingering seconds. His head tipped slightly to the side as he approached his companion, the vampire all too aware of that increased flutter to the fairy King's heart. After all, that blood that ran through Dorian's veins called to him with a melodic tone that he so frequently struggled to deny answering. The fairy tasted utterly delicious. It was a decadence he hardly wished any other of his kind to find. It was silly really, the possessiveness that Dorian managed to create within him and yet this too he struggled to deny himself, constantly reminding himself that the fairy was not his to have. Still, despite such lingering thoughts, a simper still crossed the man's lips as he bowed in show of respect. It was the mention of his 'housekeeper' that momentarily distracted the man, his gaze flickered briefly towards the young woman as he offered her an appreciated smile. The hotel's staff never failed to provide the best of accommodations. "Thank you." Sebastian spoke softly to the girl, hardly bothering to correct Dorian that she was not his housekeeper. After all, such technicalities were meaningless to him and he was certain there were far better places this evening would go to beyond the details of the house staff.

Nevertheless, Sebastian hardly found it fit to dawdle long within the waiting room of the hotel, instead immediately following Dorian out of the Witchery and into the night that so welcomely embraced them. He had little notion of where they were going through truly it hardly mattered to him. He was decidedly content merely in the company of the fairy King. They could, if his companion so chose, pointlessly wander the city for hours and naught a complaint would leave the Englishman's lips. His gaze fluttered from his companion towards their path and back again, all too aware of Dorian's lingering gaze upon him. It was silly really, how much continued effort Sebastian put within his appearance if only just because of the nature in which Dorian seemed to continue to observe him at each passing encounter. He was entirely determined to see to it that the King had no excuse to find him...lacking. It was perhaps Sebastian's particular attention to the man at his side that saw him pause the moment Dorian too did, his gaze steadfast upon the fae as he stepped closer and immediately Sebastian had to resist the urge to reach out and to bring the man closer. He longed to feel Dorian's figure against his own, despite how socially inappropriate it was given their current location. It was a shame that such etiquette had been so long instilled within his companion when the world at large no longer cared about proper distance between individuals.

Still, Sebastian relished in that brief moment of contact as Dorian's fingers brushed along his neck, following the dainty chain till it led to the very edge of his collared shirt. He was entirely still within those bittersweet moments, almost as if the vampire had forgotten to breathe. And in truth, he very well may have, such a thing hardly being necessary for the undead creature as it was. "I should like that very much." Sebastian offered in return, that simper once again returning to his features, his thoughts themselves turning too towards the promise of what 'later' held - of what his companion looked like once all the clothes had been removed and haphazardly discarded. Sebastian allowed such a fantasy to fill his thoughts as they continued upon their walk, his thoughts broken only by the voice of the man himself. His head bobbed ever so slightly in confirmation, "It was beautiful, you don't see such art work anymore these days. Thank you." Sebastian was hardly ignorant to how long it surely must have taken for such intricate work. It had utterly fascinated the man, his own era decidedly lacking on any such extravagance.

The vampire had hardly missed the mention of the girl whom Dorian lived with. He had been aware of her presence since their last encounter though had thought particularly little of it until now. It was decidedly rare for the genders to live together unless related or romantically involved. At the time, it hadn't mattered which they were though now, it left Sebastian wondering. Still, the vampire hardly allowed himself to dwell long on the topic, instead shifting towards the mention of the modern mail system. "It's not terribly complicated." He spoke, taking care to choose analogies from their own time, "The only real difference is instead you put a letter in a box for someone you never see to pick up and deliver. It's hardly any different from when we gave letters to servants except that now you don't know the servant and you must print the address on the letter because there are too many houses to remember who lives where. You also have to provide a stamp as a way to repay them for their effort." His gaze shifted briefly to his companion, already well enough aware that Dorian was certainly intelligent enough to pick up on modern day nuances if they were but explained properly.

His own efforts to explain that which his roommate had failed to hardly lasted long, however, before he was handed a small piece of paper. Slowly, he unfolded it, reading the flourished script he now recognized as Dorian's handwriting. The street was hardly unfamiliar to him, his gaze glancing upwards ever so slightly in thought of the best route to take. "I do, we should take a left at the end of this street." He responded, gesturing ever so slightly in the direction they would be headed. The Englishman had to admit his inquisitiveness for what business Dorian so wished to engage upon in the East but the vampire held little qualms in waiting to see.
