East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The demure asian was entirely inquisitive by nature, seeking to understand that which she did not and in turn the young woman flipped over the card in a curious fashion. She was hardly surprised to find the ace she was looking for sitting there so innocently and yet Chizue was certain there was more to this than simple chance. Her gaze shifted upwards towards him as he assured her that this was indeed a magic trick in some way, confirming that which she already had begun to assume. "Will you show me how to do it?" She questioned him, the young girl enjoying picking up new, though perhaps decidedly pointless skills. There was something mystifying to her about the proficiency of a well performed magic trick though she hardly expected to be nearly as good as him in comparison. It was just....fun - a thing which had be particularly lacking in her life of late. Besides, maybe a magic trick would make Isolt smile from her despondency of late, even if it was just for a few seconds. Nevertheless, Chizue settled in the chair next to the man, his explanation behind his inquiry of whether or not she ate certainly managed to intrigue the girl.

"I think..." Chizue started with a hint of notable hesitance. It was rare when the young woman actually voiced her own thoughts on matters such as this. "...that would be nice. I don't think you're defective. We could all benefit from that....sometimes we get so caught up with what who is what that sometimes we forget that we're all just people. It's a blessing to be able to just...meet people." Chizue finished, her voice dropping to be particularly quiet as she voiced her own observations of the world she'd found herself in. People were, after all, judgmental by nature. Her own culture was perhaps almost more so. Still, Chizue hardly intended to let the man's confession go without one of her own. It was hardly fair, after all. She swallowed uncertainly, reaching up to tuck a long ebony strand behind her ear. "I'm a vampire." She offered for the man before expanding upon her explanation. "But....I guess I'm a little defective too, I don't eat blood so, you don't have to worry about identifying me or saving anyone from me." Chizue offered him a rather brilliant smile, happy that she had managed to find some kind of solution to the concerns that so laced his life - at least tonight and with her anyways.

Instead of allowing her companion to dwell on such distressing thoughts, Chizue turned their attention towards the menu, pointing out the dish that they were particularly known for. Her gaze glanced upwards at him, waiting to see if it was a satisfactory option before providing the man with a warm smile when he agreed. His following question seeing her pause as she slid off her chair. "Oh, my name is Chizue, it's nice to meet you Kohl. I'm going to go put this order in, I'll be right back okay?" She hardly waited for a response from him before bouncing away towards the kitchen to give the order for the kitchen staff, returning to her new found friend not but a few moments later with two glasses of ice cold water within her hands. "I wasn't sure what you wanted..." She stated uncertainly as she placed the red cup in front of him, the girl once again sliding up onto the bar stool next to him. "I can get you something else if you want but I'm not very good at the alcohol mixing yet..." She stated with a small glimpse of disdain, her voice trailing off. At the very least though, Chizue wanted to ensure her companion was taken care of the best that she could and if it meant fetching one of her coworkers to get him something behind the bar, the young girl was willing to risk their annoyances at her.
