East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She couldn't help but blush at the notion that she would somehow be a judge of beauty, the young girl still convinced otherwise. It wasn't as though she was told it frequently - Aiden was certainly not the type to gush over her - and when she looked in the mirror she still saw that faint silver scar across her throat where the humanity had been stolen from her. It was faint, barely noticeable, and yet to Sam it was nearly a defining feature on her fair skin. That he had indirectly called her beautiful made her breath hitch in her throat, her heartbeat quickening just slightly. But luckily for her, it was immediately distracted by him pressing that he would teach her to dance. "My roommate tried to teach me, actually. Roommate... right hand. He's second in command of my monarchy. Not..." She gave a small shrug. "That my monarchy is large by any means. It's mostly just me and him."

"Anyway, he tried to teach me one day. He said I did okay. I mean, I didn't step on toes, or anything..." She tugged nervously at a piece of her hair, moving on to explain the Ark in its magnificent glory. She gave an impish smile at the mention that he wouldn't be invited. "If you said you were there to see me, they'd let you in." She said simply, though she didn't elaborate on exactly why that was the case. No, she'd rather win him over by her charm alone, not the connections she had to a certain Were pack in town. For once, she wanted to be valued for her own worth. She would find a time to mention Aiden, but not yet. "Just ask for Jackal."

She remained delighted that he was free of any real ties to a monarchy. Ah, maybe she could gain his loyalty then! The mention of 'my queen' enough to make her blush again, the genuine joy his words brought her shown on her features. It was enough to make her forget her reservations about dancing as she stepped into the ocean. "I don't mind. I like the cold," She commented easily as he moved her within his arms to dance in the waves. She trembled in his arms as they moved. She was sure that she'd step on him or fall in the steps and make a fool of herself. She focused on every single movement, her breath hitching when he dipped her.

"I wouldn't say I'm a natural," She said as she pulled herself back up. Her body relaxed as they continued and she naturally was able to trust that he wouldn't drop her. The mention of an intermediate lesson made her look up, however, clearly confused. "What do you..." She started, her words cut off by the appearance of the sapphire wings taking her breath away. At that, her steps faltered and she stumbled into his chest. "Troy I..." She started, once again cut off as they spun and twirled above the waves. Her feet struggled, clearly nervous by not having the ground to steady her. And yet, despite everything, she couldn't entirely deny that yes, she was having fun. She looked up at him, smiling warmly. "You're a better teacher than Dorian," She commented, her voice entirely soft. "Don't tell him that, though." She took a deep breath. "Please don't let me fall."
