East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

It was nights like these that were rare for the young panther. The Cat's Meow was closed which meant it was a night for practicing. However the girls had very little to go over and were quick with their retreat from the building in order to go to some bar down the street. "Bye, Nadya, see you tomorrow night!" One of the fae shouted back as they filed out of the door to the back. Nadya glanced over her shoulder at their call but didn't respond back as it would be pointless for how quickly they shuffled out to hear her. The woman slowly walked out onto the stage to place a baby monitor screen on top of one of the prop boxes which showed the twins sleeping peacefully in their playpen up in her office. Slowly Nadya slipped off her white heels and moved away with delicate ease to the middle of the stage, her simple white dress ghosting against her slender and toned legs, pausing once in position to look out at the empty tables that were usually filled and bustling.

Nadya took a slow inhale, clicking a remote in her hand before sliding it off to the side of the stage. Music unlike any that had graced the hall during business hours gently began to fill the air. The normal movements of seduction which the girls performed on stage was the complete opposite of how Nadya now moved. She was a true dancer by nature, not just a pretty face who enjoyed the burlesque like her fae employees, the music guiding every one of her movements flowing like water with the dress swirling around her. The lyrics were gentle while holding a subtle beat of bass. When every one of the dances the girls must perform were choreographed to the T it left very little room to simply let the music guide the body and that was just what Nadya was doing. Nadya curled her back, twirled gracefully, lifted to her toes and extended her limbs around the stage. It was a true release for the young woman. The confliction of all her current troubles showing in this hidden moment, reflected in her gaze...fear, sorrow....love.

Until it became too much to bare and Nadya halted in her dance laying there on the floor on her back, her chest heaving as she composed herself and pushed everything back down. There was only so long she could let herself feel that. Slowly she curled to sit up and found the remote, another click and a more familiar tone, though still foreign to the burlesque, filled the air. She had to clear her head and get back on track and what better way than with a tango. Nadya rose once more to her feet as the alluring tunes guided her body once again yet with more exotic movements to her heritage.

Nadya, as always, was lost in the music whenever she was on stage and lacked the knowledge that a certain someone had entered. It was a whole other world up there. When the track finally ended and Nadya was reaching for the remote once more did she catch the figure from the corner of her eye. Didn't anyone respect Close signs anymore? She feline turned to tell the wayward intruder to leave...only to have a very familiar face meet her dark gaze. "...Sebastian..." As if she could ever forget that face. He had found her when her pheromone power had been out of control, taught her how to use it, and subsequently lead to a few nights together. The mere memory of his touch, fingers upon her skin and his fangs at her neck, sent a small tingle over her skin. She hadn't seen him since she had discovered she had been pregnant. "Long time no see. ..What are you doing here?" Might as well get straight to the point as 2 years is a very long time indeed to just suddenly pop in on her.
