East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

It was more than difficult to extract herself from the warmth that Frost so possessed. However, if she wanted any time with him away from any possible prying eyes and to see how he fared in a more intimate...and purposeful setting then she had to do so. Nadya excused herself to her office. Many women could take ages to get ready but the fact that Nadya had had to dress quickly in between dances meant she had mastered how to be flawless in minimal amount of time. In no time at all Nadya was back downstairs, offering Frost the innuendo with a smirk and enjoying the expression that fleetingly crossed his features at it. He was an entirely stoic creature most of the time that she enjoyed the moments provided to her.

Nadya was naturally curious and questioned about their destination when Frost hadn't led her to a car but instead down the sidewalk. It was a still and clear night which meant a stroll wasn't to complain about. Her arm willingly looped within his offered one which brought her side to press slightly against his as they walked. "You're a man of mystery." The young woman offered the comment lightly as it was the truth. He seemed to have so many faces that Nadya was unsure about him at times. Truth...reality...illusion...they all seemed to blur concerning him. Nadya didn't try to press the reserved man into further conversation, instead allowing the silence fall over them with the only sound being the clipping of their shoes on the concrete. She hadn't been paying particular attention to which direction they were going, simply following his lead, so a look of puzzlement graced her features when Frost suddenly turned and halted abruptly at the edge of the grassy field of the less traipsed part of the park.

"Forgive you?" The words barely left her lips, her body tensing as if expecting a complete turn of events on her...only to be easily and quickly hoisted bride-style into his arms causing Nadya to let out a small surprised inhale. She hadn't been expecting to be lifted and perhaps should have been displeased with being picked up; however, this was the literal sweeping off her feet wasn't it? Nadya would see where this led. The young woman daintily draped one arm around his neck to help stabilize herself although she didn't think he needed it as he was apparently deceivingly stronger than his physical appearance led one to think.

When her feet were placed back down to the earth Nadya easily slipped out of her heels so she was barefoot against the blanket. The heels would only be cumbersome in this instance. She could have very well walked herself and simply removed her heels back at the sidewalk but that thought to point that out washed away as she found she enjoyed his version much better. Nadya bent her knees off to one side as Frost settled beside her on the blanket.

Nadya assessed the spread of food that the basket contained, also nothing the bottle of fine wine that had been picked as well. "Cheese, crackers, prosciutto, wine...hmm, and strawberries." The strawberries looked vibrant red and perfectly ripe, the fruit her absolute favorite, the tip of her tongue wetting her bottom lip before drawing her lip in to bite at it slightly. "Well, for someone who has never taken anyone on a date you sure know a lot about what to do." In other words she was pleased with the display he had set out and it showed in the soft smile she gave Frost as she returned her attention back to the platinum blonde. "You're lucky that the weather hadn't changed on you and rained down on your surprise. Or some critter come and stolen it before we got here." In emphasise she plucked up a strawberry and took a bite, relishing the explosion of rich flavor and juices in her mouth.

Frost didn't seem like the type to go through much effort for something such as this. It was a private and intimate thing afterall. "So, tell me, did you actually pack all this or did you find someone to bribe? Or take it from some other unsuspecting couple?...Perhaps you are the critter." It was all in jest, that smile not leaving her lips before she popped the remaining bite of strawberry into her mouth.
