East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

bee to the blossom, moth to the flame; each to his passion; what's in a name?

The word "baby girl" has her snapping to attention immediately, her gaze narrowing on him as she folds her arms sassily over her chest, "My name is not baby girl," she growls at him, her chocolate eyes fixed on him fiercely. How she despised terms like that, she had jumped down Arlo's throat the first time he called her babe and surprisingly he had yet to use that term again. Still, it was no surprise that she was demanding a stranger to not call her anything but her name, it was so typically Miyako. Huffing at him, she unfolds her arms quickly realizing it was far too hot in here for her to be doing that.

Though she had snapped at him, it doesn't take long before that faint smile is toying at her lips again, a bit shy but hopefully he would take her mind off of this unfortunate situation. Still, that heat creeps up her spine and it doesn't take long before she's slinging her messenger bag from her shoulders and setting it on the ground, her jacket following suit as she discards the material onto her bag, along with the scarf. Sighing in relief, she returns her attention entirely back towards the man, convinced that this was the stranger that was on her roof not terribly long ago.

Arching a brow in disbelief at his response, she sets a hand on her hip as she regards him through narrowed eyes, "You're sure you weren't recently on a rough plotting your demise? I sat with you for several hours until I was sure you weren't going to kill yourself," she reminds him a bit bluntly. Either the man was lying to get under her skin or he was telling the truth and he did indeed of a doppelgänger in town. Pinching the bridge of her nose, she must take a deep breath before she gets snippy with him, eyes fluttering close momentarily.

Her feelings under control, she drops her hand, though the other remains on her hip. As he folds his arms over his chest, Miyako is distracted briefly by his muscled arms and the tattoos that line his skin, she might have asked about them but he comments that he needs to meet this stranger. Perhaps it truly wasn't the same man. Shrugging at him she gives a small nod in agreement, "You probably do, he could be posing as you this very instant, getting a ticket or something of the sort," she flashes a brief smile, a small giggle falling from her lips. Yes, the heat was indeed getting to her if she was giggling at this stranger.

As the conversation shifts, she tilts her head at him in a curious manner, her fingers running through her hair to peel it off the nape of her neck. Again, she sucks that lower lip into her mouth, chewing on it thoughtfully, "I've never been given anything in my life, I work hard for everything I own," she shrugs. It was true, after her mother passed away her father had abandoned her, announcing that he wanted nothing to do with her solely because she looked so much like her mother. It was heartbreaking when it happened but she had learned to steel herself through it all, paying her way through college and managing to snag an internship at a local hospital.

Her life wasn't easy but it wasn't terribly hard either.

"I suppose that makes us opposite then," she laughs lightly, tugging at her sweater around her neck. By god she was hot. "You never told me your name," she states, wondering briefly if she should remove her top, she did have a tank top underneath. Pushing the thought off for the moment, her chocolate eyes fix on the brute of a man before her, those eyes roaming his figure a bit more freely.
