East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Ah, it was going to be an adventure. Just how long this adventure would last, he wasn't so sure. He thought he'd amuse her for a minute with the so-called quest, not really wanting the night to end quite yet. Surely, she'd pass out along the way to a destination. Ludo could tell she rarely drank; with the lack of pacing for consuming alcohol she took. Where would she go? How would she get home? The thoughts filled Ludo's head knowing that tonight, Miya couldn't be responsible for herself or finding her way home safely. She'll definitely feel it tomorrow morning, he thought as he shook his head in disbelief as she clumsily gathered her belongings and slowly reached the door. Fiercely stumbling and catching herself from wiping out more times than he could count on one hand. He was surprised by how outgoing and confidant she got when inebriated. It was funny to see a complete opposite personality of her. He saw her stumble a little too hard and immediately snatched her by her slender arm. When he grabbed her, he didn't realize the amount of strength he was using and quickly apologized, asking if she was okay.

She shook her head back and fourth so fiercely he thought she was going to knock herself off balance. She looked at him absurdly, as if he had asked the most ridiculous question in the world but before he could respond he felt a frigid air waft about his fingertips. He felt Miya's chilly palm tuck tightly into his. Holy cow, is she made of ice? Ludo pondered if she ever felt warm. Ever. But the question really didn't matter, he was just elated that he got to hold her hand, even if she was a bit sloshed. She proceeded to inform Ludo that she "Didn't almost fall. and that she happened to be "One hundred percent in control." "Whatever you say," Ludo cheekily responded watching her repeatedly stumble as she tried her best to walk straight. He admired her sudden gurgle of laughter as he felt her grip tighten in his hands. Even in her drunken stupor there was an irresistible charm about her.

He watches as she tugs his arm forward towards the fluorescently lit fountain that held small coins all sunk at the bottom of the circular pond. Miya insisted on making a wish as her drunken eyes glittered with short fleeting thoughts on what she'd wish for. As they loomed over the fountain, she started grabbing at her purse but refusing to let go of Ludo's hand. Chuckling as he watched her flimsily digging through her bag in pursuit of two wishing coins, she busted out loud "Ah-ha!" triumphantly as she placed the second coin in Ludo's palm. He glances down at the coin and his eyesight draws towards her delicate flushed features. There she was, blissfully unaware of most of what was going on and beaming from ear to ear as she asked him what he'd wish for. He tossed the coin in contemplating the question. "I wish for... a good life," he honestly stated after a few moments of thought. Looking down at his feet he added, "I suppose you think that's cheesy," he gazed up and stared into her dark chocolate eyes. It was a picturesque scene, as he turned his body to face hers, fingers still interlocked with one another in a tight grasp, placing himself only inches away from her face. He studied the dark fluttering eyelashes that highly contrasted against her porcelain skin. Glassy smooth lyrics brushed past her flushed cheeks, whispering into her ear, what it was that she wished for.
