East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian Ellington-Aragona

The sound of that sweet Southern twang to the petite woman's voice brought a warm simper to the Englishman's lips. That sardonic tone was the very epitome of all he had come to expect from the young woman. Though something had clearly occurred to prompt that self-doubt that near radiated off the woman in waves he could all but taste, it was nice to see that subtle hint of the feisty vixen that had so drawn him to her time and time again. "As do I." He responded, his own baritone lyrics held that ever-present touch of that foreign accent, the man so effortlessly remaining that English gentleman as he ignored that hesitation that so afflicted her. Very little, it seemed, went unnoticed under the weight of those dark cerulean irises. It was that very intensity that even she so seemed to notice, prompting a sort of recoil that she all but strove to hide from him. In the very wake of her words, Sebastian's assurance that she had 'figured him out' seemed to prompt a sort of quiet contemplation from her, the kind of which left her lips in but a softly uttered mumble and yet, those vampiric senses that so often assaulted him so effortlessly picked up on even those breathy syllables.

As it was, Sebastian was well attuned to those more mortal tendencies, the vampire easily capable of simply ignoring the young woman's mutterings, even though he found such a sentiment decidedly curious. There was little doubt within the Englishman's mind that she hardly knew him in the slightest and yet, he could scarcely tell if that comment was yet another simple ploy in the never-ending game or if she truly wished for more from the vampire then that enigmatic aura he so often wore. Thankfully, he was hardly required to respond to that very thing, that smile upon her lips answered with a small twitch of his own, at least, until the young woman saw fit to comment upon the very men that all but trailed protectively in his wake. In truth, Sebastian had all but forgotten of their presence. The vampire was all but deft at simply brushing away their presence, the truth of those guards all but ignored if only for the simple assurance that, though he loved his husband, the very mention of his marriage would surely diminish his chances of achieving exactly what he desired.

He was altogether quick to push the topic away from those men that so vigilantly watched him. Rather, Sebastian offered the young woman his open-faced hand, that very reaction, unconscious or not, only further contributed to that offer he so provided her. For tonight, he could be that very chance to forget all that ailed her. He could provide her with a sweet release from all of those distractions, from that uncertainty and doubt. For tonight, he could reignite that flame within her. Or, if she desired it, Sebastian was equally as capable of playing that shoulder to cry upon. His own possessiveness, after all, was near legendary at least, to those few who knew him. His darkly hued eyes watched as the woman so strove to claw herself from those memories that so threatened to overwhelm her at that simple gesture, that reaction alone prompted his eyebrows to furrow ever so slightly and yet, for now, he said little of it. Rather, Sebastian regards her with that same placid patience he so always held and, soon enough, that stillness paid off. His fingers all to easily intertwined with her own, that very mention of a drink was enough to prompt the man to nod, his attention so wholly focused on that simple request.

That establishment he sought was hardly difficult to find, the bar was certainly not the highlight of the downtown scene and yet, it provided enough of a population to provoke those feelings of intrigue and anonymity. There was hardly a single inquiry provided at their entrance, though Sebastian was well aware of those eyes upon him at the sight of the young woman at his side. His photo, after all, had been all over the newspaper but mere months ago. His wedding was perhaps the singular most prolific event of the year and yet, here he was with someone, not his husband. For the meantime, Sebastian was content to merely ignore the public at large, his navy gaze instead focused upon the petite Pirate Captain he held so closely. That inquiry of her beverage of choice prompted a small raise of his eyebrow and yet, Sebastian saw no reason to deny her that alcoholic beverage. If such was what she desired, he had every intention of ensuring it occurred. "I think, tonight, I fancy a Scotch, myself." The man responded to that soft inquiry and yet, he hardly gave her time to consider any further bolting for that door as the vampire so effortlessly flagged down that bartender.

It hardly took long before those beverages were placed before them, that black Centurion credit card quickly accepted as payment. With drink in hand, Sebastian nodded ever so slightly towards one of those booths in the corner of the building, that small circular lounge seating would surely provide them that desired intimacy, his own guards more than capable of ensuring the pair remained undisturbed. "Shall we then, my sweet?" Sebastian inquired in a teasing tone, his hand ever so gingerly tugging at her fingers enfolded within his and yet, he hardly made any means to force her, quite on the contrary, it was always her choice. After all, Carolina had yet to make her own decision on where their evening would go, that very preference alone was one Sebastian waited for with baited breath.
