East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

Alexander was entirely aware of how closed off he was capable of being. He was trying, tonight, to allow the woman that insight into that near ancient life, even though he had relatively little idea of what she might actually wish to hear about. She seemed inquisitive, at least, of his Godson, prompting the Dark Hunter to comment of that wedding he had recently attended. Alexander glanced over at the woman, that wistful smile on her features prompted a soft chuckle from his lips. "Yes, I suppose it was. When you're a King, no expense is spared." A small shrug crossed his shoulders, though Alexander had little further to say of it. He had been quite on the fence about his Godson's marriage, even though Dorian's father had given his approval. That talk of Greece and his homeland, however, seemed to prompt a curious comment from the young woman that she had not only been never been overseas but that she had been banned from those modes of transportation. It seemed archaic to him, really, which was saying something considering how old the Dark Hunter was. It bothered him more than he cared to admit, that clear control her father had exacted over her. Perhaps it was a good thing they would never meet. Alexander was less than fond of being told what to do.

His gaze briefly shifted towards the girl as her eyes widened with awe at the very idea. That speechlessness caused the corner of his lips to twitch upwards in a small display of satisfaction. "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you like to go?" He inquired, hardly intending to restrict her to Greece and its neighboring country that he hailed from. After all, the whole world was now open to her and Alexander intended to let her soak in every bit of it. That conversation, however, shifted slowly towards that Cavalry that Alexander had recently been rewarded with. He had every intention of shaking up the horse squadron, that distinct care he held for those horses, regardless of their species, clearly showed through at that moment. He mused on how much that Cavalry would dislike him with all those changes he intended to implement, hardly anticipating the young woman's sudden announcement that, no matter what, she could never hate him. It was sweet, that effort she put in to reassure him and in return Alexander provided her with a warm simper as he thanked her for those kind words.

Alexander turned his attention back towards the road, letting Alexis simply taken in that change of environment. He was hardly oblivious to that glimpse of surprise upon her features as they left the city in favor of those rural areas. He offered hardly a word as he continued their drive, pausing only to turn onto a smaller road. A soft chuckle left his lips at her inquiry before he shook his head. "Of course not." He promised, that view opening up to the lake that served as a setting for their dinner. That small smile persisted upon his features at the sound of awe that left her lips. Slowly, Alexander brought the vehicle to a halt beside the small row of other vehicles that made a makeshift parking lot. He turned the vehicle off, only to glance over at the woman and inquire if she was ready. Another warm simper crossed his features as he stepped out of the vehicle, closing the door behind him before he moved around the vehicle to open the vehicle for her. His hand reached out for her's waiting for the woman to put her hand in his before he led her towards those tables where their reservation awaited.
