East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The stars in their orbits

For a moment Nadya's decision to tell Raven what was going on was a shock to even herself. But since Raven was in the pack for Tobi's entertainment in the first place she was going to need to know eventually. While Raven's reaction was an expected one it still caused Nadya to bristle. If she had been in feline form she would be already hissing at the wolf. "I took precautions that I could; I wish everyone would stop thinking that I didn't try to stop this from happening. Aiden had no need to know since it wasn't anything more than two people struggling to control their new abilities." She hadn't wanted her brother to think there was anything more to it. The beginning of the liason's had been a result of her being unable to control her pheromone power but once she started getting control of it then it was a matter of trying to fight off Tobi's new power that egged hers on until he got what response he wanted from her.

Nadya was surprised at Raven grabbing her hand and dragging her towards the register. The anger that had started to boil up caused her to yank her hand away from Raven once at the counter. She wasn't going to be led around like a child. Her gaze was narrowed and her lips pursed to keep from saying anything else. It was best not to start a whole blown out scene in a public building. Again though Raven took her hand and adamantly beelined through the city. Any onlookers would probably think they were simply a pair of friends, one more enthusiastic about their outing than the other. Far from it. With an irritated scoff Nadya once more took her hand from Raven when they entered the new building. She had no idea where they were so followed slowly behind her. The smell of the sterile environment started to register and then she saw the neatly organized waiting room. Nadya stopped dead in her tracks, numb and mindless with the clipboard shoved in her hands.

Hospitals, even one such as this were foreign to Nadya and she was scared stiff of them. Sure it wasn't a phobia such as Tobi's water but it was fear nonetheless. The clipboard fell from her hands and clattered to the floor as Nadya shook her head. "No. I'm fine, I don't need this." She didn't see the few curious gazes from the others in the waiting room. "Why would you bring me here? I didn't ask for this. I just need the books." Amidst the frustrated anger at having been led through town like a child to a place she didn't like was that tone of fear. Hospitals, doctors, they took care of sick people...they were for people who might not come home. Instinctively Nadya draped one arm across her abdomen as if to protective the growing cub from her perceived danger.
