East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

Gingerly Alexander's fingertips moved over the length of the equestrian figure, his fingers working into the male's coat, reading his body language to find those places upon the horse's shoulder and neck where he particularly enjoyed being touched. He worked in silence and cautiousness, doing his best to alleviate that tension that so obviously coursed through his veins and led to the tautness of the muscles within his ivory figure. He lingered in those spots that Frost tended to enjoy, supporting the equine as he too leaned into Alexander's touch. He moved steadily from forward to back, noticing the fashion at which Frost tended to avoid allowing him to see his hind leg. He hardly pressed the horse, however, instead moving onto a "safe" zone whilst his gaze only briefly traveled down the length of the man's leg. It hardly required Alexander's intelligence to figure out that there was something wrong with that leg, even if nothing immediately stood out to Alexander's green-blue gaze. He hardly dwelled on it long, however, already feeling the weight of the equine's gaze upon him and instead took the opportunity to step towards Frost's face, letting his hands too explore the creature's muzzle.

Quite quickly Alexander found another area Frost had determined was "off limits" and just as before he hardly made an effort to push the creature on his self imposed boundaries. After all, presently his entire goal was to learn about the steed rather than teach him. He let his hands linger just on the tip of the horse's muzzle, attempting to go no further upwards after finding that "sweet spot" that led to the steed's discomfort. After several moments of perhaps muted affection, the Dark Hunter moved on to the creature's right side. It was hardly difficult to note the creature was entirely dissatisfied with Alexander's new found position. His muscles seemed to become taunt once again, his skin flinching every time Alexander lifted his hand to place it somewhere else. For a man so particularly cold hearted, calculating and observant, the horse was particularly easy to read, his equestrian figure giving off far more by body language alone then Alexander had been able to gleam from the man that had sat within his cafe only hours prior.

He watched as the horse moved, placing Alexander back at the side he favored and for a moment the Dark Hunter was content to pause, considering all the information he had just gleaned from those simple moments that he'd taken the effort to get to know the magnificent beast in front of him. A soft sigh left his mouth, his lips pressing together ever so slightly as he considered the best route to take to foster a relationship between horse and man beyond being thrown off in the same fashion that Frost had every other rider. He might have been all too familiar with their kind, and just as well might too have once been considered a god, but Alexander's death had taught him a lesson or two on his own morality and likewise, he anticipated that Frost had every intention of doing the same. The easiest way to win this battle was to jsut not play - and yet, the man suspected such was hardly an option either. And so, instead, the Dark Hunter reached out, going for that same spot on Frost's left shoulder that he previously had. He kept his base on the creature's ivory pelt, hardly wanting to antagonize the equine any more than necessary. It was only once he was certain they had regained that sort of tranquility that they had found before that Alexander even bothered to attempt to mount the beast.

His fingertips started on the creature's left side, slowly moving up towards his withers towards the right side he knew that Frost was far more skittish off. He ensured his touch never once lifted from the animal if only to provide Frost the comfort of knowing where he was at all times before he even got to his other side. To compliment this, Alexander had begun to speak, his voice soft and calm though the dialect he chose was that of his homeland rather than the english they had previously used. There was something comforting to him, to feel the ancient greek upon his tongue as he spoke words of reassurance that Frost wasn't meant to understand in the first place. (Jessica doesn't know the process of mounting a horse so we're making stuff up now.) He used his upper arm strength to lift his body, tossing one leg over the creature as he continued to mutter. It took some effort to find himself upon the equine's spine but even as he did so, his face preferred the left side of the creature. He made no effort to urge Frost into movement, instead if they could simply end on a good note with just sitting, Alexander would consider this lesson a relative success.
