East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy

Samantha hardly noticed the cold anymore, nor had she paid any attention to the coffee that sat near her for awhile now. His emotions danced in front of her in growing strength. The shock that she'd touched him â€" she remembered the same emotion when she'd stroked his feline form. The disbelief her comment regarding his attractiveness had caused him. But more than that, the lust. The desire. The pleasure that this was completely okay. Samantha was sure that if he could see her own emotions, they'd be exactly the same. She'd longed to kiss him from the moment she'd seen him in his human form, and now knowing that he was right here. That she could. That he'd kiss her back. It was enough to make her head swim. She probably would have closed the difference between them again had he not leaned back. His gaze remained on her, but it wasn't the curious gaze that he'd usually cast her with. It was a soft look, one that made the girl's cheeks flush with warmth. It'd been too long since someone had looked at her like that.

Still, despite the way her thoughts swam with ideas of her growing crush, her attention focused as he spoke. She let her gaze drift towards the café as he described the Dark Hunter inside. She closed her eyes for a moment, focusing on the man as if she could pick out his emotions. But Aiden was right next to her, and there were countless people in the café. It seemed impossible that she would be able to pick out his individually. With that, she shook her head, her gaze returning to the man beside her. "There's too many people in the café, I can't pick out him in particular. Maybe if we were closer..." She let her words drift off as he spoke once again. She couldn't help but smile at the way he leaned forward, as though his words were meant only for her. She gave him a nod before she leaned forward and pressed her lips against his cheek. "Well, it seems that I've got my work cut out for me, huh?" She said with a small smile.

Leaning back, Samantha turned her head towards the group of giggling girls that passed them on the street. The emotions of the girls seemed to jump out at her as if a bright light had been shined in her face. "Them," She said quietly to her companion, slightly slinking back in her chair as though she could hide. "They're faeries." She let her gaze slide back to him. She tried to wipe the fear the girls' presence had caused her off her features as she spoke. "Their emotions are very bright. Distracting, almost?" She gave him an impish shrug now that the girls were far enough away that they wouldn't notice her. "See, I'm trying," She grinned softly, reaching up to play with her hair. She tried to bring her attention back to the situation at hand rather than fear over something that wouldn't hurt her â€" she was sure that he wouldn't allow it. "I don't know much yet, Aiden. I haven't wanted to be fae. But you... you're helping me get over that fear. I'll learn, and protect myself. And we can be... whatever it is we are? Or whatever it is we will become?" She leaned back in her chair, reaching over to grab her coffee and lift it to her lips as she looked at him. "I suppose the question is, do you want us to become... involved, was that the word you used?"
