East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Again, this Sam was a new side that Nadya had never seen before. Being placed in a higher position obviously had done the fae some good in having to learn to be in the spotlight. Perhaps it was the alcohol, though two shots was hardly much, that calmed Nadya's nerves enough that Sam's display didn't immediately rile the panther. More time in her feline skin had made the woman more irritable and likely to lash out if prodded. For that reason alone Nadya was saddened to see the expensive liquid spilled. You could replace a window, mirror, and glasses...but it was much more difficult to come across that bottle of vodka and now there wasn't any more to keep Nadya's animal hazed.

The air was quickly beginning to get charged though once Nadya healed Sam. Nadya's dominant side flaring slightly at the subtle threat that passed from Sam's lips about being forced to react for questioning her authority. Her own ability lashed out, exploding pictures from the wall, books from the shelf, and the accordion divider of the dressing area. Nadya's gaze narrowed right back at the blonde as both remained standing now. "You are not the only one who can make things go boom...but I can wield it." She had never before shown her abilities to Sam before tonight. Nadya debated letting her pheromone one loose to calm the woman but decided to give it more time before resorting to that. There was only one power of hers that Nadya knew would greatly upset Aiden if she used it on Sam and so far anyways Nadya had no need to induce pain in the fae. "Yes, you are his girlfriend and as you said...I am your boss. In this building...you will watch yourself." Nadya couldn't ...wouldn't...allow anyone to shout at her or speak to her the way Samantha was in front of the other employees or customers. It did not sit well with the image of an owner.

Her office was looking a right mess now with shards of things everywhere. If it wasn't for the music from the performances, there would have been workers rushing in to see what the explosions were. Nadya's gaze drifted over all the items she was going to have to have replaced as she tried to calm the animal that itched just beneath her skin. "I don't know if I'm leaving." She began with some quiet to her voice, clenching and unclenching her hands to work back the fire in her veins and keep herself grounded. "I grew up in a home, Sam...a home supported by my family and my pack. I want those things for....for Izzy and Micah." It was a struggle to speak their names, leaving a bitter taste in her mouth and a burn in her chest. The fact that she couldn't see them or hold them rising up in the forefront of her mind now. "I just know that the pack now is not one I want Izzy and Micah raised in. And I wish I could say that I was strong enough...to let them go, to let my adoptive pack keep them and raise them properly like they did for me...but I'm not. I need them back." From the moment she first held Izzy and Micah her whole set of priorities changed and she did everything to make their lives better. But it caused her to break inside to have to make that ultimate sacrifice of giving them up. There had to be another way...she had to try to find one.

"I've been asked to join another pack. I just...don't know..." Nadya had no idea that Sam had already run into Frost seeing as she knew Aiden would have been all over keeping his girlfriend away from the rival Alpha. She also figured, since Sam was new to even their own pack that she would have very little to no knowledge of any other packs around. "The Alpha...he-..." Nadya pinched at the bridge of her nose sorely wishing for another shot of the vodka. The images that swirled in her mind caused her emotions to fluctuate all over the place from hurt due to her most recent run-in with the stallion, contentment seeing how he interacted with the twins, to a longing heat at the memory of his lips on hers. "...It's complicated."
