East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"You look beautiful Isolt. Everything's going to be fine." The young vampire responded, a small simper settled upon her lips as she watched her companion fuss with her dress in the mirror. Her dark, chocolate eyes remained steadfast upon her Supreme, all too aware of the fashion at which the red head's shoulders slouched ever so slightly, clearly still hesitant under the weight of the mantle that she had taken on after Damien's rather abrupt and unexpected absence. Slowly, the doll slid off the edge of the chair, moving to stand in front of the elder vampire. She reached up, gingerly rearranging the woman's locks so it framed her face. "You can do this. I promise. You're so good at it and you look wonderful and the tavern looks great. Everything's going to go perfectly." Chizue glanced up at her companion,a warm simper lighting up her demure features in her best efforts to reassure the woman.

In truth, Damon's absence had scarcely affected the vampire girl as much as it had her companion. It was no secret that she had been a major supporter of her companion's relationship and yet, in truth, she had spent little time with Damon by herself that held any real merit. It was easier for her, then, to pick up the pieces of her life and likewise she tried her best to be there for her employer and friend. Her head bobbed ever so slightly behind her companion, "I'll be down in a bit." She responded in a faux cheerful tone, ushering her companion off with whatever words of reassurance that she could offer. In the end, however, Chizue was left alone in the apartment to face her own mirror and find something that she herself looked suitable in.

It took Chizue far longer then she cared to admit before the Asian girl found a slimming ebony dress that she viewed appropriate. The gown was hardly as tantalizing as the one her Supreme had donned for the evening, instead a simple black cocktail dress that was overlaid with a black lace. it was a stark contrast to her pale, dead skin. She paused in front of the mirror, brushing out the long, silken locks of her equally as dark hair before delicately placing the brush on Isolt's vanity. Her lips pressed together ever so slightly as she glanced at herself in the mirror, ensuring that she was presentable enough to represent the tavern. After all, beauty was hardly Chizue's forte,at least not within her own mind. The sheer notion of looking "sexy" was quite foreign to the demure waitress. Frankly, she hardly saw a reason to attend the gala all together. She was hardly one for politics and she certainly wasn't a body of any true merit - not like the people that would attend tonight. Tonight their tavern would be filled with leaders in business, politics, notable figures of various species, and then -- her. No, Chizue scarcely belonged and yet, here she was.

When she finally joined the party, her dark colored gaze scanned the congregation at large, easily noting that she was entirely correct on her previous suspicions of tonight's events. She hardly recognized any of the faces that filled the restaurant and yet, Chizue was hardly perturbed by this. After all, she was here but for the redhead herself. Silently she slid up to Isolt's side, listening to the words spoken to the sharply dressed and undeniably handsome fellow in front of them and yet, Chizue offered no word herself beyond a warm smile, entirely content to be Isolt's shadow for the evening.
