Samantha had been thinking for days now on what exactly she could do for Raven to thank her for her remarkable kindness to the faerie in helping her find Aiden. She'd considered buying her a present, but she didn't know her well enough to even have an idea of what would be the best for her. With her limited means of income, she wasn't sure what she could do to show her gratitude. It wasn't until she'd expressed her concerns to Aiden and had been presented with a wad of 100 dollar bills that she'd known what to do. He'd hardly hesitated in telling the girl to go shopping, giving her a dismissive wave of the hand when she's questioned exactly why he had wads of 100 dollar bills just hanging about the Ark to give out. That, he'd seemed to imply, was on a need to know basis and Samantha did not currently need to know. She'd merely tucked the money into her bag and gave Aiden a kiss before she'd ducked into the next room.

Raven had certainly been reluctant, even going as far as to comment that Nadya would be a better companion for the trip, but that complaint had merely been brushed off by the pretty young faerie with a wave of her hand. "I'm not asking Nadya. I'm asking my new friend Raven. Actually, nope. Not asking. Aiden told me to take you, and I know that he's the Alpha here... So come along. It'll be fun, I promise." At that, she'd grabbed Raven's arm and led her out to hail a taxi to take them up to the northern part of town where the boutique shops would provide them with a lot of entertainment for the afternoon.

Just because the faerie girl had spent the last several years in poverty and wearing baggy sweatshirts and jeans, didn't mean she didn't love shopping. It had been her recent shopping trip with Nadya that had brought out that love of fashion she'd had as a human teenager, even if she didn't necessarily have the same style as Nadya did. But she'd enjoyed the way Aiden had looked at her in her new dresses and it had given her the confidence to show off her legs a bit more. Raven, however, seemed the opposite, content to wear the baggy clothes in an attempt to simply not draw attention to herself.

Samantha had led Raven into one of the simpler boutiques that offered girly, cute clothes that would flatter both her body type and Raven's. "Nadya told me she tried to take you shopping once and that you didn't enjoy it?" She asked kindly as they moved over to a rack, flipping through the tops that were featured. "Nadya took me shopping recently, too. She's got a bold sense of style. I'm not nearly that confident, though." She held up a simple, fitted t-shirt and put it against Raven. "You know, you really are so pretty." Her words were sincere, and she met Raven's eyes as she spoke. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to, of course, but I think wearing some fitted clothes would really suit you." She put the top back on the rack and turned her full attention to the girl, hoping she could convince her to at least give the shopping trip an honest effort.

She reached up gently, tucking Raven's curls behind her ear. Though she didn't speak of it aloud, she knew that Raven was certainly self-conscious of the scars she had. In Samantha's eyes, she certainly had no reason to be. Her scars showed her strength. If anything, Samantha hoped she could get her new found friend to see that. "Your hair is so pretty. Can I try to style it sometime?" Her enthusiasm was genuine, her intentions of this shopping trip to bring clothes home for both of them and to bond with the wolf. She hoped, regardless of the reservations that Raven might have towards the trip, that she could at least coax a bit of a good time out of her.

"At the very least, can we buy you a flattering pair of jeans? You have great legs. You should at least have one pair of pants that make you feel good. That's what my mom used to always tell me." She gave her a bright flash of a smile, going back to scanning the racks. "Besides, I have a treat planned for the boys as a thank you for this trip. Does Tobi enjoy sweets as much as Aiden does? I still haven't met him yet, you know."
