Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The young fennec fox was entirely sure that she would not be getting out of of her current situation alive. The witch that circled her looked at her as though she were prey, and it was that alone that had the girl's features entirely fearful. This had been a terrible idea, and Edie was aware of it. Her curiosity had finally bested her, and she would die at the hands of a sadistic witch who couldn't even be bothered to end her quickly. No, this bitch would rather listen to the way she screamed and pleaded with her and that was certainly not Edie. The scream that left her lips as that blade sliced into her was entirely against her will, and immediately Edie hated herself for allowing it.

"My fingers hardly matter when you're going to kill me anyway," Edie spat, watching the woman circle her the best she could from her bound state. Still, despite the fear, she wouldn't sell out Frost or give this woman any proper information. It was that that had her insisting that she knew nothing about why she was here. No, she wouldn't tell on Frost, especially not to this woman. She'd rather die. At that, the woman so fiercely shook her head. "No, I won't tell you anything." She said calmly, though she couldn't deny the shiver that trailed down her spine as the woman leaned in. She barely had time to react to the woman's words before that knife was brought again onto her arm and the woman was afforded another scream from her lips. Damn it. Damn it.

Edie had to get out of this. Even though it brought searing pain to all of her wounds, the woman tugged fiercely at her bonds. They didn't seem to budge. If only her wrists were smaller, or there was a way to... No. No, the shift would break her arms with her positioning like this, and yet that seemed like a much better alternative to dying at the hands of this woman. It would hurt far more than what she was currently experiencing, and for a second she paused. She was sure the look on her face must have been so utterly fearful, and yet Edie found that she hardly cared.

Calling the shift to her was harder than usual due to her weakened and terrified state. She could feel that heat rising in her body and the way that her bones seemed ready to shift at the slightest calling, and it was that she held to. It was easy enough to let the shift take her, even if it did send a scream of pain louder than what Vhalla had elicited from her from her lips. She could feel her bones snapping in her arm as she worked, and the instant she had shifted just enough to pull her arms free she did so. It was too late, her arms were undoubtedly broken even if she did stop the shift. She kicked out swiftly then, colliding her foot with Vhalla's stomach. Surely that would give her enough time to escape, and within seconds the battered girl had ran the length of the room to hoist the window open.

Within seconds she managed to get herself onto that fire escape and let herself scamper down it to the street. She didn't dare look back in case the assassin chose to pursue her. She knew she'd be no match for anyone in this state, with her arms broken and the half-completed shift having torn the wounds open in her side. It hurt to shift only halfway and then back to her human state, and it seemed to have broken the girl beyond measure. Still, that didn't stop the girl from flying down the sidewalk towards the Eastern district. There was one person she could go to that wasn't pack, and she could only hope that the woman would actually help her.
